And I got my new specs today!!!!!! Still trying hard to adjust to it. Byebye to the old and ugly and cheap specs. But dosent make a difference lah hor, cos I usually don't wear them out. However, I'll be wearing them everyday on my holiday!!!!!!! So that I can admire all the beautiful things there! Basically that's why I made them. Haha.Ok, I shall continue my beloved dream.

Back to serve

I just came back from work! Phew! I felt that my skills are quite rusty and my limbs are all achey... Anyway, no weddings due to the 7th month. However, today was an eye opener for me! It's Mandarin Oriental's hotel group function. Meaning the sister hotel from all over the world are gathered in this function.

Ok, actually, don't really care about that. But the most important thing is that the hotel sent her 4 fine dining resturants to the ballroom namely, Cherry Garden, MELT, Morton's and Wasabi Bistro. Looking at the presentation of the food makes my saliva wanna flow. That was one particular station though that my eyes were feasting on... FRESH OYSTERS!!!!!

There were mountains and mountains of it!!! Hehee, I actually stood near this area whenever I could to feast my eyes upon them. Thinking, even if I can't eat them, smelling would be fine too.

Who knew, we could eat them actually!!!!!! It really, really made my day! Managed to eat about 8? I was thinking it is ok if I work for free. These oysters are good enough. I am so going to dream about oysters.

Monday monday

Malcolm asked me to post all these, so here it goes! He went gliding yesterday while I was at home the whole day :/ Ohh~~ I can't believe he could squeeze into the small glider, what's more carry him and still soar in the air. Hahaha.Smiling away on air.For today, I have been cleaning up my room for the next semester! Thinking though, why am I not going out at all. Oh yeah, better start packing my bag for holiday!! Pretty excited, but not as excited as January this year...

Still, YAY! The thing I'm quite looking forward to is the food in Japan. Let's hope I won't get FAT. One thing different travelling with Mommy this time round, she's won't be stopping me from roaming around and doing the things I want. Hahaha. Because she will usually control me and all that.

So yeah, better start packing now! Whee!

The beginning of holidays...

So yesterday was my last paper of the 1st semester! Family and Community Health. I would say that it is the worst paper done so far. But fear not, I think my other 7 subjects are still alright :) Intially, I had totally no mood to "celebrate" the end of exams cos I felt it was rather abrupt? Or rather, I already had my fair share of fun during the so called exam break =X This won't do! I will put in more effort the next sem! Well, but see how I'll fare first lah hor :D

Mommy and Daddy were out shopping and I had to settle dinner myself. Suddenly, I called Violet and she asked me to call SiShi instead. So I called and soon found myself at Bedok with Carlos as he bought a belt from some online blogshop. Then, the 3 of us travelled to Bugis, hoping to have a nice dinner. Suddenly, ShaoYu appeared. We met him coincidentally -___- Aiya aiya aiya. Should not have met him man!

ShaoYu suggested to watch 4BIA (thai horror movie) and the 2 were agreeable on it except me. If you know me well, I will NEVER take any chance to watch a movie that will scare me. How I know, they pursuade, I reject, I try to run away, they pull me. Eventually the ticket was bought and I didnt wanna upset them too. Watch lor~~~~~ We watch the 9.30pm show at Suntec.

Hmmm, I won't say it made a deep impact on me as I covered up during the scary parts. Kept asking Carlos and Sishi about what is happening on the screen while I blocked my eyes with my jacket. Infact, one of the story was quite funny!

After the movie, we missed the last train home! So we took 61 back(which means I need not walk a lot). And I'm safe here at home.

Desperate time calls for desperate measures

Upon reflection of what my dear ex-classmates Aishah has told me that I slimmed down, I think I didnt. Haha. This was taken 2 years ago, in Dec 2006. And this was taken August of this year.Gasps! My cheeks! What happened?! Thus once again, I am motivated to go down on my food intake. I did it the previous for like 3 weeks? It was good for my body, but not my face. I went back to the old lifestyle after the esplanade performance though. Hahaha. Worry not, this time round as I have work to keep me fit! So it'll be till October when I see results on my face! *hopefully*

I plan to do something with my hair too. I have been clipping up this irritating fringe of mine. And my lecturers (model nurses) have been colouring their hair. I will follow their example.

Hmm, today I met a particular person whom I have not caught up for about 2 years? So I told him I'm studying in Nanyang Polytechnic. He laughed(maybe cos it's not SP or NP). I told him I was studying Nursing. He laughed even more(people have the intention that nursing students are poor in studies). And that was the most genuine laugh I've ever heard. In other words, it was an insult to me. Please lor, in the first place I didnt do badly for my Os. I bet I did even better than you!!! And what's wrong with Nursing? I know I'm not pretty, gentle, sweet. But does that mean I cannot be a nurse? As least I can secure myself a job even before I graduate. Not like you, study some arts/design thingy, there are people WAYYYY more creative and talented than you. I chose it out of passion ok. I can enroll myself into some business or engineering course easily, but I didnt. Hmmm, at least in the future, I will have one more reason not to quit nursing, which is to prove you wrong!

Ok, done venting... Well, I know I have a bright future ahead of me! Even though I may not earn as much as businessman, engineers, well, the world still needs people to do such jobs. Also balance to economy. I mean, it can't be everyone earning so much money.

Anyway, I have a strong feeling that Singapore's future will be ruined. What's her most precious resource? Her people. Singapore does not need teenagers who loves creating trouble in school and doing ridiculous things. It's either they change for the better or be eliminated. I just hope my children will not be like that -__- (ok, im not even married or something)

They just think they are fierce/cute by using vulgar, rough words. Which on the other hand makes me think how uncivilised and ungroomed they are. I understand, limited vocab you have in your brain.

Blogging again!

On the way home from exams, Matt and I saw this huge spider along the overhead bridge. The web was amazing and strong. Ok, we did some EVIL things and ought to be punished. We destroyed it's home... I think Mr Spider is very angry about it. Well, that was how Matt and I got along well 9 years ago. LOL.Anyway I had dinner with a lovely company! Was celebrating JingWei's belated birthday! Hehehe. You're 18! Woohoo!

Well, I can't wait to be 18 too!!! Yeah! I wanna be a flower -_-

So, I've been studying FON... All I can is to read and write some notes by the side... I can't practice or "redo" those questions like Maths.. All I need is to understand. Haah.

Regret, regret

Phew! I just returned home from my bio paper. As you can see even though yesterday was a Sunday, I didnt update because I was chiong-ing bio the whole day afternoon. To be exact, I only started at 3pm yesterday. Reason? I overslept T_T

Was planning to wake up at 10am or so before turning in at 4am the same morning. Yeah, came back from Carlos' house. I could not believe I even dared to stay out late at night 2 days before my exam. But well, that's not the mistake I made...

The mistake was that last week, I was studying the other subjects other than bio! Partially because I thought that the 2 chapters I was left to study with would be very little(which I was so wrong) and as most of the time I was studying outside, I did not have my textbook with me, which means I cannot study this subject.

But oh well, it's over now at least! I am grateful that my last minute study effort didnt go down the drain. I won't say I will fail this paper actually, but I'm hoping for a B?? (ok, that's what i ALWAYS aim for) Hmmm, but I don't think I'm putting much hope into this paper. I'll jiayou on my other papers :D Exam's fun!! Whee!

Anyway, on Saturday, meet Patrick and Patrick! Hahaa.
After today's paper, Matt and I had KFC for lunch. Ok, I better start eating healthy. I should eat at home more often too! He's been great company going to school and home. Oh, he plays his PSP outside the exam hall. Good strategy! LOL.

The desired weekends are here!

Like finally! Time to have more sleep! Need to catch up a lot on my sleep before next week approaches! It's going to be another season of break through during morning PMs! :) So far I have been ENJOYING all 5 days of it. Some may think I am wasting time and should study instead. But well, the sacrifice is all worthwhile! It's just a matter of waking up a few hours earlier than usual!

I have been secretly studying in church! A great place to be! Okay, erm, just a lil issue on them chasing me all over the place because they need to use some venues for some functions. But it's alright!!!! Still love this place! It brings back the good old memories! Come to think of it, it's going to be 5 years! Woo, happy happy!

Today Psychology paper was good! I don't want to be over confident though. But whatever I've learnt in this module is really interesting. That's what I call learning. Enjoying it and being really interested in it! Was a few minutes late for the paper though :X First time having it in a hall. Quite different from secondary school's O levels as we can wear any clothes we want! I can wear coloured socks, let down my hair and more. Cool, cool. Adjusting to Poly life...


After today, I wonder how far I can go now...

Encouragement

I have been encouraged to hear from people that I have encouraged them! 3 lovelies this week. Wow. Really makes me happy and feel good! Brings a smile on my face :D

And this morning, I was glad I took a step of faith! Now I feel really encouraged! Thanks for your time and love :) I believe now is the season that I am trained and that my capacity is expanded. Thanks for being there for me! Ah, every human simply needs encouragement.

So, for the past 3 days, I have been waking up 5.30am in the morning. It is always good to wake up early yeah. Makes my days longer. Fair enough, I only take 2 hour naps. Usually my naps can be really long like 4-5hours. Let's believe that I can cultivate this habit :)

I am not so sure if I am studying hard enough. I see my classmates taking exams so seriously and all that. But me, so relaxed, smiling all the way. Not that I'm not studying lah but they seem to be more urgent than me. Ok, means I have to buck up. Haha. Everybody all the best!

After my exams I am so going to work, get the money and buy new clothes!!!!! Wanna groom myself. LOL. I realise that I am soon going to be 18, not 15! The reason is not because of yesterday okay.(for those who know) But it's because I will be working and I must change on my 18th birthday! Ok, so superficial.

Updating for the sake of updating

On National Day I went to Mt Faber with cg peeps and Melina's friends! Had fun!! The climbing was tiring though. It revealed the sedentary lifestyle I have. We stopped over at Henderson Wave.

Clinging on no matter what. (Ron, you better becareful! I broke up arm because of this!) :P Patrick is COOL! If only I could stand on my hands. Kids, don't do this at home. So funny, as he was doing this, people were like "Wow!" and clapped. But don't break your arm too! xP
We wanted to watched the fireworks from the 30-storey HDB building but failed because the condo blocked our way! Grrr. Anyway, the building was AMAZING. I would love to live there :P The horizon is beautiful!
The next day was Malcolm's departure.

Today was fruitful, I hope. Because I finished Psychology!! Took a nap in the afternoon. Okok, must cultivate good habit... I'll try not to take a nap tomorrow afternoon. However, tomorrow's plan is to watch a movie! :D I bu fi qi. 80% of my papers are made up of MCQ and I'm studying as if they are all going to be essay questions. So I will require a 2hour break at least in the midst of my studies! That's an excuse actually.

Happy Birthday Singapore (even though im late) and goodbye Malcolm. The 2 weeks had been great, now no more chance for you to come into my room and disturb me.Basically that's it. Wanted to blog more but I need to wake up 5.30am!!!!!!! Which means I have to sleep now!

Happy National Day Eve!

Yeah, yeah... It's been time since I've last updated. My life has been some sort of exciting though. Heeh. I have just planned my mugging sechdule. I hope all goes well! Come to think of it, there is really sufficient time to study in Poly. But not after Year 1 :S

On Tuesday, we had our masking fitting.. This is a photo of one of the mask, N95. They are supposed to test if we can smell some bitter stuff while wearing the mask. This is to check for the correct size and that no spores can enter into our body!! Barrier nursing!!!!!(ok, safety in healthcare paper is over) I passed both mask fitting tests. We were all complaining when we only wore the mask for 5 mins... The lecturer told us 5 mins is nothing. During SARS, they had to wear it for like 5 hours. Number one, you can hardly breathe. Then, it flattens your nose. And lastly its very hot every exhale you make. So, please pray that no airborne outbreak will happen in Singapore.

On Wednesday, we had our Safety in Healthcare exam!! Tricky, tricky, tricky! Hope hope hope I can achieve at least a B! *cross fingers and prays* After exam, we had to instantly switch to our holiday mood! Celebration of National Day and Nurses' Day!!!!! Surprisinly, all the Singaporeans in our class wore red. So sad we didnt take a class photo.. Photo thanks to Hawa.

All the big shots singing, "If we Hold on Together". Can you believe it, all of them are/were nurses!! Well, to me they just look like aunties and uncles. Shhhhhh!
Today, I watched "Money Not Enough 2" with my Mom!!!! Hmmm, not bad, not bad.. But I expected more. I didnt laugh till I had stomach pain. To me, a good movie will make me laugh till I am in pain xD Ok, so sadistic.

Through this movie, I am motivated to learn hokkien! Need to communicate with my patients!! Been catching a few phrases from my Mom...

Energy Replenished

I hate my body!!! GRRRR! My inital plan was to study with Sishi at Macdonalds for our upcoming exams. But all thanks to my body, I had to sleep!! I have been sleeping for 5 hours the past few days. Definitely not enough. But well, I just woke up for my 4 hour nap and hopefully I will be able to study through the night! (^_^)V

So yesterday I went for FOP. Well, it was not as packed as I expected... Probably because it was a Sunday and people needed to go to work the following day. I was blur with the new songs... Was more enlightened with the preaching. Now I know why people like Pst Mark Conner. Because he was quite funny. Didnt laugh a lot though... Was more in the serious mood. During the last part it was quite cool as Reuben Morgan opened the floor for us to go down... Most of the time I was panting though.. Hahaha. And the music was horribly loud! I don't like loud things... Overall, it was still alright and I enjoyed the service.

After that, Ron, Rio, Marcus and myself had supper at Beauty World's Mac. The place where I created disater as I spilled Green Tea all over the floor. Seesh!

On Saturday, had family gathering!! Too lazy to add captions to the photos.

That's about it... Should not be updating because I would be focusing on my exams and I will have nothing interesting to share. Haha.

Hehe. Anyway, today my group presented our family and community health ICA. I would say that this time round I quite enjoyed myself. We were to access the elderly. Thus, we created this "elderly atmosphere" by looking like one! The past few days had been rather hectic for me.. But at least, the work was paid off and I had fun!After that, I rushed back home and waited for Daddy to have dinner together! I was playing with Malcolm's toy again.Introducing my twin sister!Ta-dah! Malcolm was taking the photo. Hmmm, I think recently I have been so into my family.. Always thinking and blogging about them. Haha. Probably because I have learnt to treasure them even more. Which is good, of course. 9 more days before we part(Malcolm leaves)! Haha.I'm blessed, I'm blessed, I'm blessed.
