A skin is under construction. Since I have started to "clean up" my computer, I should also make this blog of mine pop-up free! Yes, those pop-ups are irritating to me.

Need some time though. I am currently doing my my essay and preparing for my exams :)

Before a Nap...

On the 2nd day of CNY, went to my Dad's boss' house! Had a great time admiring at the house. So envious! No lah, I'm actually contented with this house of mine :) But still, it would be a dream to live in such a house one day. And guess what... He had a BIG ang pow to everyone. Gosh, it's as if money is free like that. Faints.

Anyway, my Dad discussing about work while the people behind are playing majiong. Mommy(who claims she dosent know how to play) won the last 3 games, in a row! They all siad she was "lucky". She did not accept any winnings though. Hahaha. And that's my Tiger Beer on the table...

This is the effect of drinking! I was blushing so much(note: i didnt put any blusher). Anyway, that's YiHui! Clever RV girl and also a friend I have know since birth. Her sis wasnt inside. Haha.It was good to see the company peeps once again as I worked there for a month early last year... At least I didnt feel much like a stranger. Oh well. Dad's going back to teaching anyway. Sadly not NYP. If not I'll have a free ride to and from school! And no free meals(if we meet up for lunch). I think it'll be so cool to have your Dad teaching in the same school you're studying at.

My jaw hurts..

I have been eating and eating non stop since morning! So much that my jaw really hurts right now! Something to do with the chewing ok, not the amount of food.

As usual, all my relatives came over to bai nian. In the morning, I helped Mom with frying! Those aunties didn't see me since Feb 2007. They mentioned I slimmed down (hehehe) and said I looked good (feels weird if i use pretty).

Didn't taken many photos this year... Well, here's Jolene again! She's sooooo big! Primary 1 already! I remember, I was only 11 when she was born. Oh, and she talks a lot. I like talkative kids. Heeheehee.Nicer photos are with Yvonne so I'll just wait for her to send them to me!

Can I get you out of my mind? It's torturing me.

I feel CNY coming!

Wooo! This year, I'm especially excited about CNY! It's probably cos I didnt celebrate in Singapore last year... Well, will leave it to another post to recall what I did last year... Anyway, I just had reunion dinner with my parents. Though, we have reunion dinner every night -___- The food was GOOD, like real abalone, real shark's fin, prawns and mushroom with sea cucumber. Yummy! Mommy's cooking is always the best.

Well, for yesterday, I met up W325 for a steamboat! The food was slightly less den ok (:P) but the company was awesome!!!!!
We had a seaweed attack.Arghhhh!After dinner, we went to Chinatown... I love the atmosphere there!Group photos that failed...

I can't wait till Monday when my relatives come at all. Oops, Mommy has been doing all the work in the kitchen and I have not been helping her... Better dash off to replace the sofa cover!

Anyway, my Dad and I were watching youtube videos... We are sooooooooo bad. But do watch this ventriloquist act... Trust me! It's NICE!!! I LOVE CHICAGO!! Watch the whole thing!

Boom!

I just dyed my hair on Monday... Didnt really wanna blog about it and make it a biggy but I thought it would be good to post so this can be useful for future purposes :) In other words, I am vain, obessively in love with myself and whatever you say... Haha.

So, this was before..

And after! Don't compare the face, but the hair. Haah.Cut a bit of my hair and it looks slightly neater now!! Haha. Ok, did this because SiShi just cut her fringe and posted the photo in her blog, so I do the same! Let's hope the colour won't get brighter that I may need to dye it back to black cos of attachment.

The funny thing was that I met Mrs K in the salon. She came in after me but before my turn. I was like "Oh dear!" Cos for those who know, her hairstyle is really pretty, in a certain point of view :) But it turned out not too bad lah. At least I don't look like her or something. HAHAHA. So mean! But it was good tell her about myself. I didnt stutter or anything.

2nd visit to BBSS was awesome :) Enough said!

Singing and singing!

Last Sunday, a couple of peeps from SoundCard were involved in Sinfornia 2009 held at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Enjoy they pics! Haha, didnt know so many people, especially the BOYS were so zilian!! Coincidentally, we used the exact same dressing room as the other time singing for NP's Klaviarensemble concert :)We're the early birds!Fooling around in the toilet...Yup, that was the spot I settled the other time :)Nadia and I!Toilet again!Soon, we had our rehearsal... The performance was a good experience. Well, I hope I'll have another chance to perform there again. I mean, after so many performances, I know that nothing is impossible! :D

Today, I went for CHC choir auditions... Thanks Vanessa, Yuling and PeiEn for coming down to support! :D Hmmm, I think it was quite alright. Praying really hard that (JingWei and) I can get in... Loving my allocated section. So guys, help me pray that I'll receive the good news ok? :) Anyway, I liked the butterflies in my tummy kinda thing. Hahaha.

Ouch! That hurts!

So yeah, was stabbed in the heart real badly... Can I live in the past? Like when I was sec1 to sec 2? Can I ever have things my way? The answer is no...

Anyway I was back at the new BBSS to deliver some goods for the CCA orientation. I was also there to kay po. Stay for 2 hours only, wanted to stay on though, but had rehearsals in school. Urgh! I made the effort to go okay! Unlike some people, go and don't go whenever they like. Eventually, still gets to perform. Anyway, I managed to capture the familiar parts of BBSS. Well, this is mainly for clique to see! Enjoy!

How about this? HAHA. Looks exactly the same lor. You know lah... These old teacher still prefer things how they were like before...This pathway that we used to always walk in and out. Hahaha.Where's the tree? Hmmm.Look behind this block... No more carpark. It has been covered by another building. Basically the D and T rooms and the science labs remain.Have yet to explore the other places. Soon! :)

Btw, the view out of my window... Lil red flowers growing for this CNY season!!!This week's P was truely a SABOTAGE. Urgh! Whatever, whatever. I shall rely on my own skills then. You not gonna get me down with this!

Tests and presentations are over! After Sunday I'll be a free woman! Urgh, been sleeping 5 hours everyday. Woo, can't wait for the Esplanade performance :) Then it'll be CNY!!! The last time I celebrated CNY was in 2007. So, I kinda miss it a lot. I believe I'll have a fun time!

Reflection

Ok, I know I should be doing other important things like studying or blogging in other blogs. But oh well, it seems that I'm not doing it! Haaha! One thing for sure, don't expect me to study bio late at night. It scares me. Yes, my childhood fear of the disgusting parts of the human being scares me.

Anyway, I just wanna reflet on how I did for open house. Hmm, I think I was not that good which is also known as bad. I think I chose the wrong song. My diction is horrible and I'm too ambitious on those high notes that I could not perfectly pull of. Shall choose a simpler song next time :) And of course, something that suits me. The SC peeps say I'm the musical. I don't know if it's true or is it cos I like musicals...

MeeHan and I! Fancy seeing him for the FIRST time in NYP! He's in the yukata also. Haha, I didnt know he would join the sakura club.

I though I look really good that day compared to normal school days. Haha. I was proven right when Rene told me the same thing... I mean, what for waste clothes and time to wear nice clothes to school? I'd rather wear different different clothes than wear the same few nice clothes I have almost every week? So, that's the downfall of being in Poly. It gives you a horrible headache! Thankfully, I'm going to be a nurse, which means I'm gonna wear a uniform for work!

Talking about clothes, I need to get them for Chinese New Year! Woo, time to throw away some of my old stuff too. By then, my room will be nice and presentable and I'll invite all to come into my room and play! Argh! I can't wait for CNY, cos I didnt have the chance to celebrate it last year :(

But after CNY, boom! There's gonna be exams -___- Really hope I can do well :D

I love my room!

I'm right now doing research on this lappy lying on my bed, snuggled under my think blanket :) Ah, this is the kind of life!!!! Ok, there are actually loads of things to worry about however but what for worry? Just tackle it!

Like for today, I tackled one very major worry that has been haunting me. Anyway, being out with WanTing rocks. Heehee. I love doing anything under the sun with her, which includes disturbing her!

Ohoh, and if you're free on Saturday, please come to NYP! :P I'm definitely supporting my school in this "fierce" competition. But I still think we'll be the 2nd least popular lah. It takes time to build a certain reputation. It doesnt matter though, cos the next academic year will still be flooded with freshies. Can't wait to be in year 2!

Dad's not really recovering(you dont expect bone fracture to heal in 2 days). He's been experiencing pain until he teared. Just now, he told me he was watching The Noose. Kept laughing and laughing, with the pain. So poor thing, cannot even laugh properly. But it was funny though, cos he was laughing and in distress at the same time. He has another appointment at TTSH this Friday! Going down with him...

Anyway, I had a good dinner :) Thank you! You should know who you are!

Poor Dad...

Yesterday, I received news from Dad via sms that he had a fall in one of the ships... Serious it may be, I found this whole incident funny. I was really calm by the way and Mommy scolded me for not being worried. Not worrying means I don't care meh?

The first telephone conversation with him was like..
Daddy: Earlier today I fell down, I still feel the pain... I am having a fever now. Can you ask your teacher tomorrow if I fractured my rib cage?
Maria: Go to the hospital now. You need to have an X-ray taken to know.
Daddy: But the hospital is 130km (if i didnt hear wrongly) away from where I am.
-___-

Second one was like...
Daddy: I am not in the hospital. I just finished my CT scan and no internal injuries were found.
Maria: How about your rib cage?
Daddy: Wait, I'm doing the X-ray now (but i think he did it before he called -___-)
Doctor in background: There's a fracture.
Daddy: There's a fracture.
Maria: Oh, ok. And you are still able to walk.. Which one? C, T or L
Daddy: L10....

It went something like this lah.. Haah. So yeah, I think he's in the airport in ShangHai now... Will be returning home tonight. But before going home, Daddy's boss arranged for an ambulance to pick him up.. How cool is that? I very much wanted to be there. To see see, or at least take some photos. He'll be sent to TTSH for another check up before heading home. Hope I can be there, to look and learn more though.

Malcolm, don't say you don't know about this matter. Haah.

UPDATE!!!!!!
Ok, according to Mommy, Daddy actually missed his late afternoon flight because he was having some free dinner after checking in? Haha. He reported late at the boarding gate so he had to give the flight a miss. So now he is on his midnight flight back. Mommy is going to TTSH first thing in the morning. Don't know about me, if I can wake up early but I'll make the effort :D

Ok, pardon me for MIA-ing after that new year post... I was just too into the essay. But well, I just submitted it on Friday! I hope all goes well! And I'm still quite busy(except, i make room for watching movies).. Boohoo. I just did some elearning stuff before blogging!

Anyway, I went with the cg for a cycling trip at Pulau Ubin. I must say that it was fun! Mother Nature welcomed us with a heavy rain upon reaching the jetty -__- We settled in the shelter for about 10 minutes and therain stopped. On my part, I was desperately asking God to stop the rain by looking at the sky saying, "Pleassssssssseeeeeeeeee stop the rain!!!!!!!!" over and over again. I hope that it was my words that changed the weather. Haha! But thank God anyway :)

So we cycled nd cycled and only started taking photos at Chek Jawa area... At the info counter with this dog!

They constructed a bridge for visitors like us to view the foilage on the left, sea/ships on the right and supposed coral below! But the tide was too high. We were a little early...

It's either Sheryne is light or Joshua is strong :P The clouds were still dark...

Towards the end of his bridge, we managed to see mud skippers and lil crabs. I think people are only amazed by animals or anything that moves.. Heh... Then, comes the swamp part.... More mudskipperswere found! They looked like lizards and are very huge!!

Climbed this tower and was amazed by the spectacular view...And that ends our Pulau Ubin trip.. Heehee.To Mr Damian Wong, I didnt go for service cos I was celebrating my friend, HuiYu's birthday! It was so nice of her to organise a BBQ. I ate like no one's business :P Burton is indeed a very good cook! Though the dishes he made were vegetarian, they tasted yummy!!!!!!!! Anyway, Happy Birthday HuiYu!

Oh ya, on new year's day, clique and I celebrated Acelyn's birthday! :) It was so fun doing a bomb scenario thing for her. Heehee, I hope you liked it :P Not forgetting dining at Fish and Co! I had my fair share of seafood platter with my dear SiShi... Hehehe.

I was kinda busy over the past few days, so I wasnt able to be as nostalglic as usual... I'm drowned with school work! Though I feel this change of the year is not that much of the difference because the school term is sandwiched between.

Anyway, I had a fantastic New Year's Eve :) Had a lil cycling trip at Pulau Ubin... Will update it the next time.. And one very special friend of mine stayed over and counted down to the new year with me. So, the first thing we did in 2009 was to watch "Mean Girls". Hot and spicy movie! The best part was that we were watching the movie in a lying position! After the movie, we did our lil secret :) I think I am gonna appreciate my room more cos it's so nice! Haha. At about 3, I KOed. She went to the toilet and I was fast asleep by the time she came back. Not forgetting, I had tons of dreams... Hmmm.

Well, my wish for this new year is to of course to do well in my studies! Hmmm, other than that I don't have much cos loads of things that I want in life was already fulfiled in 2008 :P
