Playing & Studying Hard

Went to watch Hannah Montana the movie with Bernice today! Enjoyed it a lot! I'm so gonna learn the dance moves when I'm free. Hehe. We're gonna dance in the clubroom SOON! :D

After that, we studied in the school library for 3 hours. Ok, maybe 2 hours plus. Cos I was distracted abit to borrow stuff and look for books. But it's still not bad right?! Managed to recap most of the school stuff I've learnt, cos some of the elearning materials are the repeat of what was taught -__- Shall do more tomorrow! Weee! I hope I'll have the discipline at home!

After dinner at the school's MacDonalds(urgh, sinful!), I went to Bernice's house!! The main purpose was to take a look at Russel! He's a very active goldie. But a good boy as well! :)

Yupyup, hoping to have an even more fruitful day tomorrow!

Why is Singapore so HOT?!!?!?!

Looking at photos of cold places certainly makes me feel less hot. I wish I could be like this photo. It was taken in Scotland as I was climbing Arther's Seat(a hill). Not only was it cold, but the wind was super strong. Yeah, and I could not feel my fingers and ears for the first time. Brrrrr! Ok, I miss travelling and going overseas. Super envious that JingWei is leaving this Friday! The sad part is, I will miss JingWei :( Anyway, I think one of the most fun thing in life is to travel out of the country alone! I will prolly be doing it this September. Heehee.

For today, I have been packing my room. Super sastisfied with it! :D Give me a few weeks and it will be messy again. Haha. Ok, I promise promise with sugar on top that I will start studying TOMORROW! (actually i'm preparing myself for tomorrow's studying in awhile) I see Violet hard at work. Makes me feel guilty! I better make this semester work!!!!!!!!!!!

It's so hot. Time to turn on the aircon!

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen... I'm waiting for the phone call next week!!! :D

Enjoying my holiday before school starts. Oh, one more week! xD

On Wednesday, we went to support Fadzly for Singapore Idol's 2nd round! :) It was a nerve wrecking experience for us! But sigh, anyway Fadz, we still love you alright!! :D Btw, going out with the SoundCard peeps is always fun! The girls....After the auditions, we walked to the Singapore Flyer for Popeye! Finally having fried sinful food after quite some time. Then, to Starbucks at Marina Square to chillax! I think it was my first time getting a cup all to myself! Yay! Finally I can afford Starbucks on my own. Ok, I'm super pathetic.:DTrying to be retro... Ok, I think I failed. Bernice is way better in posing than me!!!Who is she?And yesterday, I met JingWei up for a buffet lunch at Sakura! The meal was on me, like a farewell gift to her! She's leaving in a weeks' time! Sob sob!JingWei concluded that we ate too much meat, and yes we did. Salmon sashimi, lamb chop, sliced beef, satay and...... Urgh, mentioning them makes me wanna puke. I won't be touching them for a month! The good thing was that everything was free flow! Funny us, even though we were too full with the meat, we still had space for ice cream! It's strange how our stomachs work! After lunch, we took a bus to Orchard and did some shopping! Ah, it felt good buying the things I like. I hope this won't be a habit because the money in my bank account is declining like a parachute! Finally, we went to Expo for the last part of SOS and the last sleepover at her place. Sob sob! JingWei, I will sure miss you!!!

I tried to make today productive, but I failed. Ok, I shall get myself moving after publishing this post!!

No...... Phone...... Call...... :(

Dance through life!!

Dancing through life, skimming the surface
Gliding when the turf is smooth
Life's more painless, for the brainless
Why think too hard?
When it's so soothing
Dancing through life, no need to tough it
When you can sluff it off as I do
Nothing matters but knowing nothing matters
It's just life, so keep dancing through...

Dancing through life, swaying and sweeping and always keeping cool
Life is fraughtless, when you're thoughtless
Those who don't try, never look foolish
Dancing through life, mindless and careless
Make sure your where less trouble is rife
Woes are fleeting, blows are glancing
When you're dancing through life...

By the way, the dude singing is Mr Adam Lambert! Ok, he looks cute playing the role of Fiyero from "Wicked". But I don't like his gothic look in AI. Nice dance moves also!

Decided to post this song as I had a new perspective of it!!! No matter what crap we go through in life, we need to dance through them! Don't dwell and get all sorrowful over it. Why think to hard? It may just be a little thing but we no need to take it in such a way that it is tough! What for?! You are wasting energy, emotions and effort. Once you trip, just move on to your next dance step and continue dancing through life!!

Cheers! :D

What a Day!

Wooo! I enjoyed myseld A LOT today! :D It was all about singing, singing and singing. First up was SoundCard audition for lunchtime concert! Then, had my 2nd audition for something else in church, followed by church choir practice!

Not only that, I met so many people in one day! It's a small world afterall! Hope they won't mind me mentioning name. Met Hema, JingWei's good buddy in secondary school during the audition. We have a mutual best friend. Wahahahahaha. Then, 2 boys she know in her cellgroup came for choir practice. I knew them through POS!! So started linking up all the people up and all that. Then, on the way home, we met Jolina, another POS friend! And lastly, I met LingLi, my Poly friend on the train. Wahahahaa. (btw, POS is parade of schools, some cheerleading thingy held in my church)

What a small, small world. This shows that I have met so, so, many people in my 6 years of church. Which is good! I love making friends! :D

Wu-oh! Many things coming up! I'm ready for it!!!! Means, less internet time! Ok, I always have to remind myself to catch up on my studies. Shall start tomorrow! :D Greater things are ahead! YAY!

Latest's News: Ohhhh, I heard that the "holidays" may extend for another week! This is to test their preparedness to ensure the polytechnic can continue to function in the event the flu situation worsens. Ya, I totally support this idea! Ok, not that I'm lazy, hate school and all that, but I need more time(a week is just nice) to catch up on my studies. Elearning will be conducted as well. Good! Train on my independant learning! So yeah, I hope this news will be true! It's like having a fire drill in pri or sec school when a fire would only occur in your school like one in an infinite time.

Ok, my point is ONE MORE WEEK OF HOLIDAYS! I'll try to minimise my going out and spend more time at home studying!

SoundCard Camp!

Thankfully, I survived SoundCard camp. But I'm still sick! Urgh! Ahhh! I need my voice back for Tuesday! ANYWAY, here's a sneak peek of the photos in my camera. SoundCarders who wants the photos, please bring your thumbdrive alright? :D

Sleep time! I really hate sleeping on the floor. Even though I brought the mattress, everything still feels so hard! Ok, I better stop complaining.
Just group photos taken on the last day of camp.

There were supposed to be more people for the camp. But they needed to leave in the midst of the camp.I believed all of them had fun yeah! :D Well, I must say that I didnt contribute that much for the camp. So, thank you Fadzly and Shikin the I/Cs for doing up most of the things! It was my first camp in NYP and I enjoyed it LOADS!!!!!! I still remembered we were planning this thing since December. Wooo, time sure flies.

I LOVE SOUNDCARD! A place where I belong :D

Being sick feels, urgh!

It all started with this sms last night to Mommy, "If you are buying breakfast for me, buy porriadge. Thanks. Throat very pain." She would usually buy those fried noodles or roti prata for me. So, I wanted to avoid that.

I woke up at about 10am in the morning. All I could feel was think secretions and mucus gathered in my mouth. I could not breathe through my nose as well because the mucus were all so thick! I went to the toilet and spat all of them out. Ok, shall not describe how they look like.

Coming from a respiratory ward I worked in during my clinical attachment, I had a feel of what my patients felt! They may have bronchitis, pharyngitis and whatever itis, I know I have *something*itis. (itis-inflammation) The reason why they had to be admitted into a hospital could be their condition is worse than mine or they do not have the ability to cough and blow it all out. That is why I am not in the hospital. I didn't even see a GP. Oops.

Went back to bed and woke up at 1 in the afternoon! After eating the porriadge Mommy bought for me, guess what, I went back to sleep again. I didn't really want to sleep but my brain lured me to the bed.

Now I'm awake, waiting for Mommy to buy dinner back so that I can take some medicine. I feel so pampered with her around. Awww.

During the nap, I had one of the strangest dream ever!! I'm just wondering if it happens in the real world.

By God's grace, I got that sms.

I can't wait for our very first SoundCard camp!!!!!! Praying that I'll be better tomorrow! :D

I'm gonna wash that man right out of my hair

The song I am currently into :)

It's a nice song! Please watch while reading what I am about to write. It'll get you into that kind of "mood". Hehe. Thanks! :D

What a fantastic last day of attachment I had!! I was kinda busy with so many stuff to do and my cubical partner, Brufen(that's the nick name i gave her :P) was busy coordinating with the mini last-day-of-attachment-celebration. Speaking of that celebration, we had fun :) So thank you Joyce for initiating it!

It was funny ordering pizza and kfc into a hospital. LOL. Oh well, we have to always eat abit of everything, right?

Enjoying my chicken!! I showed them my true colours of how I really like food and would not even spare the crumbs!

The group 11 people in Ward 66. ManMan so extra -___-

All of us at Ward 66! What a crowd right? The name tags! I really like this name tag system in KKH as I need not pin my NYP name tag and nurse's watch onto my uniform. It'll just do by clipping it up! :DLast night, JingWei slept over at my place! Hehe, it's gonna be the last one before she leaves for Melbourne :( Well, hopefully we can squeeze in one more time? Probably my turn to sleep over at your place!! It was fun as we watched the movie, "Connie and Carla". INTERESTING show. Heh. Then, we also did Henry's birthday card. I'm glad he liked it a lot. Thanks to JingWei's good idea! :D Oops, I hope he's not reading this because it is bad to make people's card at the last minute. Heh.

Finally I get to wake up a little later! Though I may be having my holidays, everyday is packed! Urgh! Ok lah, there are some free time and that shall be reserved for studying! It's seriously gonna be hell when school reopens but I'm constantly looking at the bright side :)

I have been playing this online game called Poptropica. Guess what, it was introduced to me by my patient. This shows how much I interact with my patients. Wahahaha. Yup, he was playing it on his laptop all day long and telling me all sorts of things about it.

Time to recharge my body by sleeping!

ONE MONTH!

OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!! From tomorrow onwards, I have just had a month of attachment!!!! A MONTH!!!! Isn't that long? 4 weeks of attachment are going to be over soon! Wheeeeeee! Anyway, is not that I don't enjoy my work but I'm really, really tired. So yeap, I'm happy that it's gonna be the last day!

So, I have seen new life, death done on purpose and the sick. Yesh! I have also picked up some maternal skills this one month! Ready to be a Mom anytime! -__- Can you?! Muahaaha, I can make milk, bathe an infant, clean up vomits, change pampers, put them to sleep and many more! I also know how to make things in such a way that everything will be easier to manage and save costs as well! Thank you KKH! :D

Enjoyed sleeping in the bus to and back from work. I'm gonna do it for 2 years after I graduate! Arghhh! Yeah, I simply can't wait to wear that uniform :)

Happy day tomorrow! I hope all goes well and time will pass quickly!

Performance @ Unity

Not bad I must say. Haha. We only started practicing last Saturday! I do miss my secondary school days though. Tsk tsk tsk, what are they doing on stage?!?! Hanky panky. The audience was not as excited after they left me there. But I THINK they enjoyed my last song, "Hot and Cold". Urgh, should have just sang that song only... I(we) have a bad habit if you realised. FOREVER STARING AT THE LYRICS!Nicole, Christine and Maria :)Jack and Rai was there! They were AWESOME! My first time hearing them.Lastly, the lovely girls, WenJuan and Madalene :) Mug hard for Os alright! Heehee.I am also quite happy with today's audition. All I can say is that I did my best. Ultimately, it's up to God if I should get in or not. Let it be.

Tomorrow celebrating Amelia's birthday, eating durian with the cellgroup and (maybe) going to Yvonne's house for dinner! IF ONLY, Monday was a holiday, I could sleepover and all that. Heehee. Oh well, holidays, please come. Oh yah, I forgot. Projects and tests are just waiting in line for me to entertain. Good luck to me after the 2 week holiday. Now, I know what the seniors were talking about. I WILL SURVIVE YEAR 2.

Sacrifice more?

Random thoughts of the day

"When am I getting my fever? I'm feeling ok! No headaches."

"It's 10 past 2! Maybe I should have the habit of saying that."

"My leg is so itchy! Scratch scratch!"

"Friday nights and the lights are low~"
"2 people may be given the same situation. 1 may like to blow it up and make a big fuss about it. The other would just complain and take it in after a short period of time and eventually forget it."

"I didn't know that people with AN will never even admit that they will have that condition."

"Went home at 10pm but it was a fun experience!"

"I hope I can put on a good performance tomorrow!"

"Argh! The audition is tomorrow! Accept the fact, high chance of not getting through but that does not mean that I may not have the slightest chance. Hoping for the best!"

"All the best to Shikin and Fadzly for AI auditions!"
"Such a clever boy. Sigh, so sad."
"Mothers are a gift from God. She was so nice, staying with her daughter throughout the 4 days without going home."

"Serves him right! Sucka!"

"For the first time, a medical student talked and explained stuff to me. Never seen a medical student and a nursing student talking before."

"Time for a good sleep! I'm all ready from tomorrow, I think..."

Portrait snapshots...

More photos on last Sunday's trip to Marina Barrage with clique! Heh, it's purely coincidental ok... I don't know why there are only photos of SiShi. Sad! We didn't take a group photo! Hehe, this photo is quite cute right? Sitting on the picnic mat! Food puts a smile on my face :)At Marina Square. Waiting for Violet and WanTing to finish shopping.Ok, I know I look fat and pregnant but I posted this photo for you to check out JingWei! Cool, ain't she? :D This was taken before serving for Mini-Emerge service 4.At 4, Nicole has already learnt how to be a camwhore!!!! Hmmm, I wonder who she learnt it from. Her godMa?? Wahahahaha! GodMa!! Looks like you right?I am totally tired. Thankfully not the sick kind of tired. I woke up today with about 10 mosquito bites on each of my legs! What's more, the environment officer came into my house just to check out possible mosquito breeding points as my block is having a few cases of people having dengue fever! AH AH AH! I read up, and the signs & symptoms would only surface between 5-8days after the bites. I SO gotta watch my body now. If I feel headache blah blah blah, I better report. Then, it'll be hospitalisation right?

Ok, I know I have been wanting to be a patient after working for so many weeks in hospitals. But erm, of cos I won't REALLY want it to happen? But well, if it happens, let it be lor.

Currently I'm getting more used to the kids in the ward. Well, not that bad as I expected. It'll be better if I worked as a staff nurse of course. Because when you're a student nurse, you suck. I'm quite alrigt if anything comes my way! Overall I enjoy KKH! :)

Time to practice my songs for Saturday. Heh.

Sacrifice

Sacrifice - The act of giving up something that is important or valuable in order to achieve something. (Extracted from Oxford English dictionary)

I didn't know the true meaning of this word until now.

It's so dear to me but I still chose to let it go. Maria is really out of her mind!

But the other part of her knows that she's doing the right thing :)

Anyway, hanging out with "Mama" and "Papa" was really fun! Thanks for the great company! :D
