Hahaha. I just came back with the secondary school peeps!! Well, something happened in Vivo City. We were happily chatting outside Candy Empire when the automatic glass door shattered!!! A girl (i think about 5), was beside the door and she got injured.
Many people began to crowd around her. I was hesitating if I should go help out, and I did... Then, I assessed her. She only suffered superficial injuries(Thank God) but kept crying and crying. The shattering of glass must be a very horrifying experience for her :( Her parents were not around the first 10 minutes, so I stayed by her side. Well, I don't exactly know what to do when someone's body is covered with glass, but what I did was to allay her anxiety. I held on to her hands, and she just grabbed on to mine. I also asked her if she has pain in any parts of her body, worrying that she might have severe injuries noticed. Her parents came and got really frantic(dont know why they left her there alone in the first place -_-) Finally, the paramedics came. I merely reported her superficial injuries. It was my first time talking to a paramedic. (LingLi, go be one... I think they are so COOL!!)
One thing that disgusted me was this Aunty that kept shouting at the duty facilities officer of Vivo City. They needed to sweep away the glass to gain back the access for the shoppers, but that Aunty said that it was destroying of evidence -__- Anyway there is a CCTV at the glass door area, so I think investigation would be easy. She also started shouting at their maid, saying that she was not responsible blah blah. I mean, the situation is already so bad, and it would help if you'll just shut up and treat the primary problem, which is the girl's injury and emotions. It seem like the more that Aunty shouted, the more scared the girl was.
After the paramedics came, I walked away. HAHA!
Am writing it here so that I can remember this event!!! I always feel a sense of satisfaction when I help people. I think I am sucha busybody!! By the way, this is one of the reason why I wanna be a nurse. Hahaha!
Poor girl, she's gonna have nightmares of this incident :(
