What's Hot Now

If I didn't have exams and had family members or close friends who are so into the world cup, I would be watching most of the matches. On my way home, I was walking back and heard cheering and roars when South Korea scored. Then, I thought of the moment in 1998, when I was 8. I had fond memories of watching soccer matches with my grandfather! I stayed at his place so we would be watching the matches those nights. I still remember he said stuff like, "Outside!", "Goal!" and "Kaiyu!"...

To be honest, I miss all my grandparents. I'm figuring this is the reason why I pay so much attention to the old people especially when I work in the wards. I do regret that I didn't spend much time with them when they were alive. So I guess I'm paying back all the kindness that I owed them.

In sync with this, this FLC musical is all about relationships with your family and especially with your grandparents. Indeed, we know so little of ourselves when we were young compared with the many things they know about us.

Urgh, I can't go back to the past anyway. But let me show my love to the ones still living here in Earth :)

Alright! That would be enough blogging for the next 1 week. Need to concentrate a lot on my exams. God, I need your strength!!!

Crossroad

A few minutes ago, I was caught in a dilemma!! Didn't know what to choose. But for now, I've decided. I really hope that this isn't a wrong choice! :S

Today I learn that everything that we go through is already written down, waiting to be carried out!

Dear God, if you want me to go for the other thing, just make certain things happen. I need your guide this time round!!

Guess Who's Back!

Yay!!! And she used her sister to lure me out so that she could surprise me!! Awww. Hehehe. Really appreciate it! I'm happy of course! Glad you're back for 3 weeks babe!! I'll spend as much time as I can with you!

Went instrument browsing... Congrats to Roy for getting his djembe!! Hmph, I'm so jealous! I'll wait for 50% discount before getting what I want. Hehehehehehe.

Spending time with these people makes me sane. And I can't believe it! Just to go out with them, I actually took the extra effort to wake up at 8.30am to study for a good 4 hours!! Yay me!! Really hope I can do well for the papers!

Jogging in the morning... Hope I won't be too lazy to get up :/

Random update

The bad thing about having too long a study break is that I become super complacent. I just give to the distractions easily (for example, NOW). A part of me thinks that I am not studying enough, and the other part of me is saying, "Come on!! You have another week!! You have (12hrs x 7 days) more to study!! And that does not include the time after morning papers, where I will have ample time to squeeze in all the information.

Sometimes I wished that facebook did not exist.

I observed that almost every nursing student had to take a photo with an OT gown. So, how could I be left out? The special thing about me is that other students smile nicely but I gave the mad surgeon look. Heehee. Oh, and to prove that I studied, wearing this gown part of my practical test! The photo is not a good example cos I didn't wear my mask and cap. Good part is that my hands are above my elbows. So that's 3rd year nursing for you! Of course there's more complicated stuff!

I watch the mission trip videos Roy passed to me. I am so pumped up and excited right now. WAIT FOR ME PEOPLE! Really, really, really excited about it! Can't wait for August!! Emerge Camp here I comeeeee!

Back to studying. Ciao!! Tomorrow will be an exciting day for me!! :D

What's Next? Snow?

You wanna know how I was affected? I didn't get to sleep through the nice and cold rain! :( For once in a long time, I got back to the wild and crazy me!! Slept at 6.30am and woke up at 10.30am to head for school. Ok, play time's over. Time to do serious work the next few days!!!

Malcolm and I were talking about random stuff and I told him about the flood in Orchard Road. He said that prolly the PUB scholars took shortcuts in their study paths and that's why this happened today. He is funny! I just can't wait for his return on 29th Aug. Like hello, it has been BORING during dinners the past 4 years ya.

The more I look at my new blog layout, the more narcissistic I think I am, but I'm not okay! I just extracted the rich and famous part from Diary of a Wimpy kid book. Yeah, I'm 20 and I read that book. Seesh!

Yesterday Once More

Once again I am sooooo stressed over a song!! Sang this song over and over again to make the feeling right. I hope there was improvement. Looks like theatre isn't that easy afterall :/  But I'll try my best!!! I will reach my peak on July 9th!!

I've been studying somewhat with the laptop right in front of me. So yeah, wasn't that fruitful :/ BUT, I'll try in the next 2 hours after switching off this thing :D I have been occupied in making this new blog design. NICE?!?!?! Heehee. There's a "like" and "dislike" portion! Feel free to share your feelings, and I won't know who dislikes it.

Had driving lesson today and I really admire my driving instructor. He is very, very professional. He doesn't get pissed even though the things I did could just make him so boiling mad. Yeah, I must learn this from him when I become a nurse! Not getting pissed when I get so mad with my patient or something :D

The holidays are here!!

Ya, holidays... If I want to flung all my exams :/ Hmmm, I guess I have been studying at a steady pace but it can be better!!!! I don't know why, but I don't feel the urgency. Must be the FLC musical lah. Okay, Maria Boey... You cannot be distracted!! Just remember how disciplined you were during Broadway musical times.

At least, I have the chance to sleep late and wake up late. Yay. I have not been doing that in a LONG while. About the going-out-and-have-fun-the-whole-day part, I'm not sure if I can proceed with it. I just feel so, so urgh if I don't find time to study but I always watch videos and use the computer when trying to study. Maybe I need a certain someone to motivate me. Yeah, like that's gonna happen.

I guess the thing for blogging is dying. I mean, I used to blog almost everyday! And now, I blog about 3 times a week. Heh. I think the reason is because I have NO LIFE.

Let's see.... Hmmm, well. I was supposed to go out to ECP with my Poly classmates but the rained in the morning so the meeting time was shifted back and it would be a hassle for me to go so I didn't turn up. Took an afternoon nap after watching 3 episodes of Gossip Girl and left for FLC musical prac. Read HS 3111 in the train and started to panic as I didnt know what exactly to memorise. OKAY LIKE ANYONE IS INTERESTED.

Since I see my blog page daily, I shall state the things I should MUST do...

• Study HS 3111 (draw mindmap)
• Fill in the blanks for HS 3116 workbook
• Research for Management stuff
• Remember that driving lesson is at 3.15pm, not 3.30pm!!!

Saw Sishi's blog and realised that blogger created this new thing for people to change layout. Argh, so tempting! Should I change?!

SHS Grad Night

Well, it wasnt held at some posh hotel, but I guess everyone had fun!!! Especially the dressing up part. After school, all of us were in the same toilet putting on make up. Heehee.

After all the games and food, the place was converted into a club, just without alcohol. The havoc PeiQing complained that there were no drinks.

The music was too loud, the place was too stuffy so most of us left to Bishan for a cup of Koi!! :D

Burton told us that Koi forms a chinese character (dou) when inverted!! I totally didint know!! How cool is that?!?!?!

2 weeks of holidays study break.... I'll need lots of discipline to study well for the upcoming exams!!!

A Vocal and Guitar Recital

Just came back from Shing Min's recital!! Well, basically she was our vocal trainer for NYP Broadway Musical and someone that I really look up to! :) I still could not forget the time she actually encouraged me to take up classical singing. And when I heard her today, wow. I might just be able to pursue it and become something. But well, that can only happen in my dreams. Haha.

Hmmm, I thought this recital was rather interesting. I have NEVER heard a classical singer performing with a guitar. I used to think that guitar is like a 2nd grade instrument, not knowing that great musicians can make up a classical piece with this 6 string instrument!! During the solo pieces for the guitar, I kinda like how the notes clashed in a way. And how different melodies can be added together. Though, I needed to open my ears REALLY wide to hear what Mr William was playing (as if i can. haha).

As the recital was ongoing, I thought to myself that I did have a chance to perform in a piano recital as an accompanying singer. It was 2 years back and sang the song of my dreams. As you can see the image up there, it was taken in the dressing room on the performance day! Well, it'll be something that I'll never forget :)

Shing Min was amazing!!! Not only were her high notes flawless, her low notes were perfect(something that i always struggle with)! She is just an awesome singer!! No wonder I like her so much! Hehee. With both the musicians graduated from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, I guess I envy them. I wish I could just grow up in a family where my parents would be musically inclined and rich. Then, if I would want to pursue music related stuff, they would just give me the green light!!

Ok, still, I am happy with the achievements that I have, especially this year :) Had a good chat with Jing Wei, and she actually remembered and reminded me of the wonderful things I did this year!!!

Well, even though I may not have the chance to achieve my ultimate ultimate dream, at least I'm doing something like that. Tell me, how can I not love my life? :)

Alright enough yakking. Time to sleep!!

Phew! I'm so gonna find room for shopping!!

Heehee, so after a long while, I had the chance to just chill out!! :D Well, after school yesterday, we celebrated Amelia's birthday!!! Did not see her for so long already!!! Glad that's she doing GREAT in her school. Eh, we didnt take a proper group photo, so I'll just post the photo of me and her!!

Ok, a warning sign for me. I need to cut down on my food intake. ARGHHHH! For the past 5 days, I have been promising to like eat less and all. But I am ALWAYS offered and tempted with great food! Like yesterday, having tons of asparagus wrapped with bacon, sausages and chicken wings AFTER having a proper dinner of fish n chips!! For today, they provided us with ayam penek (deep fried chicken thigh with oily rice) for lunch and I took a packet from the leftover for my dinner. ARGHHH! What's wrong with me!!!

Okay, I have to focus. 1 more month to the FLC Musical!! I need to be in my best shape!!! Well, I saw some photos of Sinfornia (concert for the sym orch) my junior took. I miss all the costumes(yay! i have 2 to wear!), make up, stage blah blah!! Hehehe. 33 more days!!!! Let me loose 10kg!

Forgot to mention this last week. SU had their Commissioning and I am so, so proud to have my friends Carlos and ShaoYu and the VP and P respectively! Amazing, ain't it?? :D

Sishi came down to support as well, and at least I hope it was a surprise to them. Oh, before that we were early so I gave her a school tour!! Hahahaha!!

My 2 weeks of break are coming and I hope that I'll have sufficient time to study for my exams and go shopping!!! Woohoo, how can I not love my life?!?!?! I'm loving everything about it! :D

Asia Conference

Though I only went for 2 days out of the 5, I had a really good time :) Unbelievable conference... Something that I'll never forget in the long run :) Had choir performance!!! Please say the chocker I'm wearing is nice... Hehe. Woohoo!! Vanessa and Meimei!!! :D

Also, had musical rehearsal yesterday, and went home late. Argh, so tiring and I'm starting to feel the stress!! Not much time left, but so many things to do!!! Well, time to be professional. To do the best I can!! :) Having another rehearsal tomorrow!! I can do it!

I was so desperate for sleep, that I slept lying down in the tutorial room. It was as if I was sick. Heh. But I was desperate for sleep, so yeah. I better sleep earlier tonight!!
