Weekends

I pretty glad that my weekend was well spent!!! Other than having to work on Saturday morning(urgh urgh urgh), it was fantastic! :) They started twisting balloons after service and Nat is a pro in twisting them! Lovely photo captured by KerYuan!

Joined LifeOnTrack #5 for the first time today! It was good... Sweating out all my toxins, worries and whatever negative. I walked btw...

The whole healthy bunch!!

:D

Hmmm, I'm thinking that I should take time off to go for small jogs/walks at least once every week, to train my stamina and breath. Since I am starting out on my singing lessons too! Well, it's just a thought... I don't know if I can make it happen when I am so tired from morning shifts!

Talking about singing lessons, I am so darn excited that I'm starting my first lesson this coming Thursday! I'm quite nervous at the same time too, like not knowing what to expect, feeling awkward... I hope all will go well! It's just what I need- Something to happen weekly/fortnightly to keep me going and moving on!

On top of that, the urge to learn riding has come back to me. How how how! It's so convenient yet dangerous. Let me continue to think about it first :)

So gonna work for 3 days and having off for another 3 days! Sounds so great! I thank God for public holidays :P

Inspire Community Centre and Bandung

So yay! AL worth spent! I enjoyed myself ENTIRELY this trip! :)

Day 1, Thursday
During departure!! Was really excited!! :) Team A!! Because 3 more guys were going to join us on Saturday.

When we arrived in Bandung, we settled in the hotel before going out to distribute food to the people who lived in the streets. The church does it monthly. What a great blessing they have been to the poor. When I saw them and interacted with them first, I was so shocked. Like really, there are people living in the streets! No home. No place to bathe also!! I tried so hard to hold back my tears(like in those reality TV shows sometimes). And it made me realised how so very blessed I am. Would these children have a future? I don't know...

Families and families living along the whole stretch! It's amazing how they can survive...

You know in Indonesia there would always be random people selling things to driver especially around the traffic lights? This was one very interesting- Guy wearing an Angry Bird costume! Hehe.

Day 2, Friday
Visited a Christian-funded school for the poorer children around the area. The church does such visits a couple of times a month I think. We conducted games, did a skit and sang some songs for the children!!! I hope they enjoyed it! :) Education is so beautiful.

In the evening we had this combined iClick session in church. Just like a typical life group meeting.. And my pastor shared :) Okay, I'm moving on and skipping the details!

Day 3, Saturday
It was rest day!! Team B came along! But in the morning we did Chinese massage. Oops, supposed to be a secret. Hahaha. Then we went shopping blah blah blah.

Had lunch... What a creative menu! The owner was inspired by Cooking Mama...

And had music practice in the church. It was awesome! So amazed by the sound and the equipment they have. They are also so creative in the decoration! Their children's chruch. And mind you, it's only for the season!!! They would change the decorations like a few times a year? WOW!

For dinner, I had Tahu Bodo! MY FAVOURITE FOOD OF THE TRIP! It's fried tofu, mashed up with chilli padi and garlic. YUMMY!

Later at night, we had some catch up session with friends from Lippo Cikarang. I went there 2 years ago for a camp!! It was nice :) Although I didn't know them super well initially, but we still managed to talk talk :) When it was time to leave, I managed to drive their car out of the car park. Oops oops! Almost made a scratch :P

Day 4, Sunday
The real work begins! Our pastor had to share for 3 sessions and we also supported him in terms of P&W and being in the service!!! Group photos!

The awesome music team!!! :)

Us with some of the people from the different ministries.

Love this photo!!! Cute!

Candra!! One of the singers in church! He's also working as a DJ! We wanted to do a cover together, but eventually I was too tired! :( Till we meet again!!!

Husband and wife Edy & Eva. Love them to bits! They have been VERY hospitable!!!

Day 5, Monday
Time to say goodbye!! I wanna go back again and I hope they will come over to Singapore so that I can bring them around and "return favour" because they have been very very good hosts!!

A new mode of transport in the airport...

So that sums up my Bandung trip!! I have been so blessed!!!!!!!!!!

Going back to work on Wednesday! Hopefully I'm a changed person!!! :)

Hello Bangs

It all started out when I was looking through my old photos(again) and I got so darn sick of my current look. I just wanted to look different like immediately.

So that night, I YouTubed "How to cut your bangs" and learned the so-called correct techniques in cutting bangs. The next morning, I went to the toilet and starting cutting them! And that's how it happened.

Having bangs IS a commitment.... But I hope it'll be worth it. Hehehe.

My Easter Weekend!

THE busy week is over and finally I can settle down a little before my trip to Bandung! Yeah! This is the kind of life I am talking about!!! :D

Had an outing with the 38girls on Good Friday.

Dinner at T.G.I.F

Darling Sishi!!

I bought a  new fragrance!! Hehehe! I'm loving the look of the bottles more than the smell. I wanna stock up on more through the years!! I'm evolving into a woman already!

Yesterday was BBSS's choir concert and I was part of the alumni choir!! Woohoo! Most of them joined choir when I had already graduated! It's nice to know and meet up people who were from the same choir :)

Our conductor Miss Yee!! I'm gonna work real real hard and show her one day how established I will be :) Afterall, I started out from BBSS choir under her training!

Attempting to act cool. I love the ambience of the Arts House!

With our teacher Miss Seah!

Okay I stole some beautiful pictures from facebook!!!

NICE RIGHT! I wanna get this kind of lights in my own home.

Alright!! April is going well. But I'm gonna have an awesome May!!! Starting my vocal training and having performance!!! YAY!!!

Here Again

I guess blogging right now is a weekly affair, because I hardly spend time staring at the computer screen! But anyways, I have to force myself to blog because I feel good reading these posts 10 years later.

On Wednesday there was finally a meet up with the Poly clique! We could just go on for hours, sharing our individual nursing experiences!!

I can wait for our holiday in November!! I hope all the girls can make it! But too bad Uncle Burton would be doing his wedding stuff. Heh. I'm still excited! Missed out so much when they went to BKK without me last year :(

Next month, I will be starting my vocal training, LIKE FINALLY! I can't wait to sit for the exams next year! It's gonna be a long-term commitment, but I'm gonna endure and reach the finish line! Besides, I have my idol teaching me! It'll be amazing! She inspired me(with no intention to teach and get money from me when she encouraged me) and she's teaching me!!! YAY! I think it would be so cool! Like next time if I ever audition for some musical, I can present this as part of my resume! Hmmm, I guess I'm not openly telling everyone about this. But if you read my blog, good for you!

Next week, I will be busy with the BBSS choir performance! Finally its coming soon! All the Saturday practices will come to an end! Hahah. Well, the reason why I chose to perform in the alumni choir is because BBSS choir was where I started. So yeah, it will be nice reminiscing the good old days singing with people beside me :) And with that, I can blog and post more photos!

I shall blog about my new perception of Easter in a few days :)
