Had my 6th singing lesson yesterday and I'm suddenly so excited about it! Hee :) Ok, it's quite pathetic that we only worked on 2 songs but she commented that I learn fast! Yay! I will be signing up for exams for next year April soon!
It's like a dream come true to me. I hope I can get a merit or a distinction. I just love the preparation phase where I get so stress up and disciplined and then boom! I get the results that I work for. This is what I call self-satisfaction.
Just started on an Italian song. Spent so much time mastering the diction. Listening to the recording I had during lesson, I feel like such a noob. So that's why I'm gonna practice hard at home.
My teacher also let me listen to some other possible exam pieces like German, musical kind and jazzy songs! I can't wait to learn the different genres using the proper techniques!
I shared the recording of the lesson with my manager and she was like so not interested about it. Well, I guess appreciating singing and the techniques are only meant for some. I'm glad that I am one of them :)
I'm gonna be better I don't care! Wheeee!

You Peng's 22nd!
Celebrated You Peng's birthday on Sunday... It was kinda special because we stayed over in a hotel! Cheers to our friendship! It will be 10 years next year! Hohoho! I shall let the photos do the sharing :)
It was a little surprise from us. The birthday girl had totally no idea that we were going stay in a hotel! Meeting up first before dinner.
The room was extremely small. It had a loft. That explains the staircase.

Went back to work today after not working for 5 days. Draining, I must say. I WANT MORE OFF DAYS! Yay! I have my Krabi trip to look forward to! I hope I will come back alive and have a good time! Hehe.
Meanwhile, I shall continue to plan the things to buy and bring and also work on my singing homework. Zzzzzz.

Sinfonia 2012
It's over! I won't have anymore major performance for the next few months already! Phew! So draining! But well, I am so glad and privileged to be part of Sinfonia this year!! Well, I sang as choir member back in 2008 and somehow I wished that I could be the solo singer and there I was, singing 2 songs for the concert :) It's really so amazing how God arranged such things for me. I am so thankful!
What made this performance special was that I had to be painted green for "Defying Gravity" (yes, omg right! got to perform a song from one of my favourite musical!!!), and then to quick change into something non-green and formal! Fear not, I was a professional performer :P
Ok, my face looks scary. Everyone who saw me for the first time like this freaked out. I know how it really feels like to be rejected. HAHA.

Friday The 13th
Pardon me again for not blogging! THIS BLOG IS SO DEAD!!! As usual, I have been busy having fun, working and having rehearsals. It's really some supernatural strength that I'm having to go through everything! :) Okok, anyway I had my ward party last Sunday and for the first time, I stayed over in a ward party! It was fun, spending the night with my colleagues, especially Lina!

Uncle!!! I can't stand his lameness. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. As you can see, I was diligently helping to BBQ the food!!

Alight, this week was crazy enough but next week will be even more crazy! But yes, I will survive!! Still, I'm so thankful for the opportunities to sing with an orchestra! And I get to know musically inclined people! The moment I got to hear the orchestra, I was like WOW. It's like they all blend so well with each other. Ok, it's more of the good arrangement. Cos still can hear some stray notes. Hehehe. But I'm sure they will all shine during the actual day. Besides, they are playing musical/movie soundtrack songs! How boring can it get? :D Hoho, I can't wait to have photos of myself dressed up and all!
During the last singing lesson, my teacher went through the aural tests with me. It's freaking me out quite a little but I think I'll be able to handle it! Did until grade 3 :D And and and she said that I was pretty good and some people are just born to pick my music and all! YAY! It made me so happy and confirmed that I am cut out for music. I just need to be more disciplined in practicing!! I piss her off sometimes cos I sing with not enough support. Hehe.
Need to have a good sleep tonight :)

I need to have fun!
Went out with SiShi on Friday which was also my post-night shift! I slept for 3 hours and off I went! I can't waste my day offs away like that lah~ Okay, so the main reason was to watch Madagascar 3!!
I love the movie so so so much! Hehehe. Made me laugh at so many part and I smile for 3 consecutive minutes because I was so awed by the effects :)
Other that watching that movie, we went shop shop shopping! Hehe, now, I have so many things that I wanna buy. I think SiShi influenced me :P Kate spade kate spade!!!
I'm looking forward to another shopping spree on Thursday! Hehehe!

ME ME ME
Pardon me for not blogging again. I'm trying to push myself but I'm always so busy! Anyway, some professional photos I have of ME performing. ME ME ME!!!!!!!!!! (okay, lame acting like some snobbish person. and not many people read my blog anyway! sucha loser!)

Beautifully captured!! This is my way of holding a mic! My index supports/anchors my hand! So I can maintain the appropriate distance throughout! Very practical way right?!?! But the double chin spoils the photo. Oh well...
I got news that for Sinfonia, I am going to be painted GREEN! My first reaction was like whattttttttttttt! It'll be giving me so much stress because people will expect so much more if I appear like Elphaba. And I watched those video where the witch from The Wizard of Oz do her quick change. Mad! So much touch ups and all! Then again, it's something unique! And something I can never do in my life anymore! Malcolm! You dream came true! Your very own sister is gonna dress up like Elphaba and sing your favourite song with an orchestra! :)
Good news! As of today, I'm a Staff Nurse I!! Grace of God :) With this promotion, I'm going to be an even better staff!! I really hope I can do my studies soon and advance in my career!
Still, I feel, that there's something missing inside...
