Anxious

Yup, that's my emotion right now. Btw, greetings firm Bangkok, Thailand! Am here for a short getaway with the Juicez dancers. Super shagged though, because I had to wake up at 3.30am yesterday to get to the airport by 5am!

Anyhow, I've been enjoying myself so far with all the good food and shopping! I guess today was orientation though, bought only 2 items. Heh heh. Best things is that I got this unlimited internet access prepaid SIM card for 299bhat. As you know I don't have a 3G plan back in sg, this experience is something new to me! Best thing is that I have the map in my phone, and I would not get lost!!!

And one more thing. I was able to check my email. Why important? BECAUSE I GOT MY FREAKING EXAM DATE! ARGHHHHH! It's gonna be on 7th March. I'm so nervous. I'm not sure if I'm prepared. But I guess I can sort this out for a whole month, I hope. Realistically,  I wanna get a merit. But but but I really dream to get a distinction :/

Prolly 1 or 2 days before the exam, I will post something on fb, to share my feelings and some thoughts, on how I've come this far. It's definitely a path that I had never regret taking :)

At the meantime, wish me luck on the upcoming practices! :)

Evelyn's Wedding

Phew! I have been so busy!!! Today is one of the rare days that I get to just sit down and stare at my computer(not really it seems). Anyway, I went for a wedding at Fullerton Hotel last Saturday!! Really pretty place :) Also had the privilege to sing for the wedding.

Update Update!!!

A busy week just passed and yet another busy week is coming! It's choking me up!! Hope that I'll have enough rest someway, somehow...

Went to LegoLand with Jing!! Much fun enjoying whatever that was made out of Lego bricks! Thankfully the rides were made of the suitable material and structure. Hah! It was good having a few screams over the rides as well!!

Moving on, I went to the IV cannulation and venepuncture course! So far, I managed to set IV plug 2 times and take blood 1 time SUCCESSFULLY! YAY! I don't know man! I find delight in doing these stuff. Muahahahhaa! The nurse educator shared that nursing is an art. I totally agree with her. When we do all these skills, our fingers just move so steadily and with flow. I can't wait to be better! :D

Attended service and was reminded to include God in the things that I'm going to do this year. There I was, thinking about my plans for 2013 and I forgot to pray and ask God to guide me. I better do. Since my bond ends this April and I'm looking into getting my degree, I need God to take control of it. Where ever He leads me, I will follow. I just need to do the necessary research and pray!

Received my tc helicon VoicePlay GTX this week and I had tons of fun with my new baby! Inspired to come up with covers and new songs! Wait for it baby!!

At the meantime, I need to concentrate on my singing! Exams are coming soon!!

Breakfast With Ai

My 2nd time performing with JDC in this breakfast series! Had fun despite freaking out 3 days before over the lyrics. But I'm glad it's over and it was okay! 6/10 for smokin through the lyrics :X But sigh, morning + nervous voice so there were some unsupported pitchy notes. Anyway that's not important. What is important is that the people enjoyed their Saturday morning. Really nice of that CC to organise such an event for the residents.

Managed to speak to the organiser and he told me that the people are mostly the elderly living on their own. Majority are single. Some of them divorced or widowed. Worse, some have children! :/ But they are left at those 2 bed room small apartment to live in, and prolly too old to have a job already. But this event gathers them every month and gives them free breakfast for that day, free dried foods(lucky draw) and some performances(which I contributed in. hehe).

January is another busy month for me!! 2 weddings to attend, 2 performances and a trip to Bangkok!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!

Happy New Year

It's the new year after one whole year of the good and bad times of 2012. Time to put those behind and look forward to a better year! These are my goals for 2013!!!

1) Get a merit at least for my upcoming Grade 5 ABRSM exam!
Awesome that I started out lessons in May and in a month or two, I'm going to take my exam!! Hohohoho! I'm uber-mega stressed about it though! I hope everything will turn out fine. I have never or almost never failed any test/exam my whole life(except chinese maybe). So I hope I won't break my record! :/

2) Be a more patient and devoted nurse.
Recently I have been getting really mad and throwing tantrums at work. Even yesterday(last day of 2012) turned out to be a shitty shift for me. At the end of the day I almost wanted to breakdown and cry. It's not my fault that I did not have the time to read up my patient's history. All I wanted to do was to finish up the relevant things for my patient before handing over to the next shift. I also know that I'm not exactly so sharp in details. But as long as my patient's life isn't in danger, it's ok right? I will be answerable to the doctor but I am VERY confident that they will not say anything also... And then patient's relatives had to tell me what to do. Eg.- I was discussing my patient with the doctor whether to start a medication for her in English. Then, patient's niece(I assume, mid 20s) had to INTERRUPT us and tell me to use Mandarin to speak to the patient. I told her I wasn't even speaking to patient!.... Firstly lady, I was speaking to the doctor, so please don't comment if you don't know what's going on! Secondly, I have been nursing her for at least 2 weeks in her 3 weeks stay in hospital!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't tell me how I can communicate with her! Yeah, so that summed up my shitty shift. At home, I whatsapp-ed my manager and asked if I was really slow in doing things. She replied, "No lah, you are good cos you don't become substandard when there are a lot thing to do"(ok, that's really bad english :PPPPPPP) But anyway, it was sooooo encouraging even though I don't think it's quite true. She then thanked me for the contributions I have done for the year. Awwww.... I respect my manager totally!!! I will change to be a better nurse! :D

3) Continue my studies.
I have been pretty impatient and insecure about this. I really hope that I will have the opportunity THIS YEAR!

4) Do more covers/gigs
Especially when I have my studio mic and my upcoming voice pedal!!!
