Reflecting 2012...

It's the end of the year once again! For sure I know that I lived 2012 with no regrets and I hope that it'll be the same for the upcoming 2013!

Just certain events/milestones worth remembering....

1) Watched Wicked!! WOOHOO! So happy that I could watch it the 2nd time with my BFF! And had a night in MBS to enhance the experience!! Hehehe.

2) Amazing trip to Bandung! Learned so much and got inspired by ICC. It was also awesome working with the music people of LifeUtd! :D I would love to go back there if I have the chance to!!

3) Started my singing lessons. Nuff said. I just want to get over and done with the exam!!!!! THE STRESS IS KICKING IN!

4) Started to have good quality time with a good friend :D

5) Got my promotion!! (though I still think that I don't exactly deserve it :/)

6) Had the chance to dress up like Elphaba. Hehehe. But my performance sucked! I give myself 4/10 for Defying Gravity and 6/10 for Wind Beneath My Wings :( I think from now on, I'm gonna rate my performance! Just for self-evaluation! And I'm going to be very strict!

7) Went to paradise(Krabi) with Sheryne! LOVE THE PLACE SO MUCH!! I don't mind going again! I want to go snorkeling!

8) Had our ultimate getaway and did this :D

9) Attended Wai Chin's wedding!! It was fun because the whole lot of us traveled all the way to Seremban! I also sang during her wedding. I give myself 2/10 because I had the lyrics on my hands! Hehe.

10) GOT MYSELF A VOICE PEDAL(tc-helicon voicelive GTX). Ok, it hasn't arrived yet but soon! Wait for it!!

Thank you, I love you 2012. 2013, please be nice to me!!! I'll have a post next year about what I would like to do/achieve in the new year.

Juicez Party!

Had much with during the Juicez potluck party! :D

I love all these creative and I'm glad to be part of them! Really a bunch of awesome dancers! Hehe. I am really looking forward to do more performances with them!!!

Which reminds me... STRICTLY NO performances fro me after 19th Jan!! I need to concentrate on my exam! Stress is really really kicking in!!! ARGH!!!

I don't know if my teacher is nice or what. She keeps telling me that I can do it. Does she know I want to do better than just a pass? Hehe. Kinda screwed up my German song during lesson, concluded that I needed to step back a little and get back to my basics, and she was so encouraging!!! Saying that when she was learning, she had to go through this too! Just going back and working on the part you neglected. Awwww!

I definitely don't want this journey to end after the exam! Which means I have to start working on my music theory. Help!!!!!!!!!

How I spent Christmas!!

All thanks to my boss for cutting me, I had quite an enjoyable Christmas holiday :) On Christmas eve, I had the luxury to wake up late! Hohoho! Got ready in the afternoon and went for CHC's service! It was good to see 2 good old friends there. But I thought I could meet more of them! :/ Oh well. I think I will make it a point to visit at least once a year :D It's always nice to see how the people there are doing!

After service which was at 11pm, I then headed down to Orchard Road. Cineleisure to be exact! The crowd was insane. Almost everyone had a can of snow foam and they started spraying at each other or at innocent people. Thank goodness I left the crowd spotless! Went into the building which was the safest place. Hehehe. The place was horribly messy!

Then headed to Hougang and joined some friends in their post-mass party! Happening eh! From 2-4am. That was when I had my first kiss. Sigh... The bumper hit some concrete barrier due to my carelessness! Urgh! I broke my record! I thought I could drive for 10 years without making any accidents! Oh well, it happened and now I will be more careful! But I enjoyed myself during the simple party so that was worth it :) I just love how closely knitted the people were! I must make my community like that too!

Reached home at 5.30am and slept at 6am! Zzzzzzzzz.

Woke up the next day(same day actually) excited because I was going to watch Les Mis the film with Dad!!! Woooohooo! The movie was AWEOMExzxzxzxzz! I smiled with a dropped jaw during the whole first scene and mouthed the exact words. The actor's emotions were so real and I could feel it so well! I cried twice at Fantine's scene. And my heart sank at Eponine's scene when they sang "I saw once/In my life".

Initially I didn't really like Amanda Seyfried but after watching the film, I realised I have so much to learn from her!! She played the role of Cosette. She took most of the high notes and her character was this sweet & gentle blonde lovable girl. Her high notes were so light and not too strong and operatic. Hmmm, thought I can apply this colour of voice for my singing exam! Muahahaha. I just need to imagine I'm Cosette when I'm singing.

Man, I also love the "Do you hear the people sing" scene and the song! I grew up listening to this man! Hehehe. Okay, I will definitely get the DVD when it's out!

I'm thankful for such a wonderful Christmas :)

My Weekend Before Christmas!!

I had so much fun with the people at LifeUnited!!! WOOOOHOOO!

Had a Christmas gathering with the lifegroup on Friday at Social Haus. Really nice place! Wanna intro this place to clique!!! :P Still waiting for the whole lifegroup photo so here's a photo with the ladies only! :D I look like crap because I came from work :( Too tired to even bring pretty clothes to change into :(

Had our Christmas candlelight service too!!

It's really meaningful!!! Instead of passing the flame around, the leaders lighted up the candles at the front and then passed the candles to the people in front rows, and they would continue to pass the candles to the person behind them. Pastor described it as sharing the light with someone. And as you pass the candle to someone, you are blessing that person. And there, you will have no candles. But then someone will pass you another candle. It just signifies that no matter how much we give, someone will give to us and that we will never be empty.

We sang "Christmas isn't Christmas". Ahhhhh, made my heart melt!! It's really a beautiful song!! You just need to believe in your heart to feel Christmas. Nothing else.

Oh, and I got to sing O Holy Night with Sofyan again! :D So happy that I had the chance to deliver my classical voice! I hope I did improved since I starting learning. I really hope to be more exposed in this aspect! Hohohooho!

After service, we had this amazing photo booth! :D

I feel so blessed to be part of this community! :) I love LifeUnited forever! Wahahahaha!

I'm thankful to be cut on Christmas eve and Christmas Day! More time with my family! Prolly gonna stay at home most of the time, and ponder about my life....

Hope This Christmas

It's busy December once again! Hohohohooh! Been SO busy the previous weekend.Got to do all these random stuff ON TOP OF WORK! I finished all my ALs so boohoohoo! Too bad for me!!

Anyway had a meet up with clique in town! It was supposed to be a sleepover at my place but I was too busy to even clean up my room and accommodate them so it was cancelled! Nevertheless, we had an awesome time! :D Just felt so loved after receiving the gift from these lovelies!! We were supposed to have just a simple Christmas gift exchange but some of them gave me presents too, even when they were not assigned to! Suddenly, I LOVE receiving presents!! Hehehe!

Didn't bring my camera so the pictures were not that fantastic :/ But iPhone5 is still acceptable!!! Wheee!

You know Christmas is here, and we're reminded of God's faithfulness to us. How He sent this little boy on Christmas Day that changed the lives of many. And hope is just spurred off this season. Like many things might/might not happen this year. Still we always place hope in God and believe that everything happens for a reason!

We had Caroling Sing Off after service! It was fun singing with Sofyan! Muahahaha. We sang O Holy Night, classical and the diva version. Practiced it twice only together though. Hehe. Yay!! One of my dream accomplished! Whoopee! Gonna sing it this Saturday again! I hope I can sustain my peak note again. It doesn't happen every time.

And Sunday after morning shift, I rushed over to Pasir Ris Elias CC for their singing festival!!! Sang about 6 songs. Zzzzz! It's tiring! But I had a good time with Juicez!!! Love them so so much! Heeheehe.

To know that I need to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day sucks. Oh well. I don't have any appointments though :/ So I can't complain!

Off to my night shift!!!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

LifeWire

We had our first LifeWire in church! It was fun performing! :) I hope the audience enjoyed it too and was not too sick of it. Wahahaha. This event session just reminds me to treasure the great musicians/singers around me. I think after 2 years of working with each other, we have really good chemistry! Love them all! Muack!

Crazy Christmas 2012

Yay! Finally caught Crazy Christmas for the 2nd time! This time was with my BFF!

It was all about silver screens with silver bells. Nice mash ups they did between popular Hollywood and Christmas songs. My favourite section was of course by Kumar and the TCM part by Judee Tan. The music was fantastic, the girls from Merry Miss A Toes were amazing!!

The best part was that we had free upgrade(due to empty seats, but there were still so many people watching this concert). Woohoo!! Got ourselves seats worth $97 when we only paid $60. Totally no heads blocking me!

I thought something was missing actually.. And then I suddenly remembered!! No Sebestian Tan, Pam Oei and Emma Yong :((

But anyhow! I feel the Christmas mood now! Woohoohoo!

 I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! After doing so many shows for Uncle Terrence, I finally had the chance to sit back and be the audience! The story & concept was amazing! Maybe the best ever Uncle did. Hehe. So proud of him and proud that I know him :P
