Weekend's nice if you weekday is busy and tiring

Anyway, POP was awesome! :D I was rather excited as it was my first one[could not make it the other time] :( My cg sent JingWei for the POPject runway geek competition. Sadly she didnt win but I thought she dressed really well :) [Probably becasue she is really one? :P]Other than that, the praise and worship, testimony and sharing was great! I can't wait for the next one! Good job guys! :)

Anyway, Phoebe is loved by me :D I heart her despite the good or bad times. And well, that's the part and parcel of a friendship. I hope Malcolm can be thrown away and Phoebe will be there to replace him. Haha! -_- Phoebe, must remember the note I gave you and what it says alright?Something bad... I sinned today @__@ Arghhh! Well, I just hope I won't have nightmares and keep thinking about it. I just got to remember what I did wasnt wrong and that I'm forgiven(by myself).

Dad's back out of a sudden and I didnt realise! Wahahaha. Welcome home!

TGIF!

Yes, TGIF! Like finally. 2 days for my feet to rest. It is totally terrible to stand for hours because I'm a person who is usually lazy and does not like standing up. I could still remember vaguely when I was younger, I always preferred to sit in a pram or having my mom to carry me.

I must say that for the past 5 days of attachment, I have learnt tons of things. Whatever I've studied in the book has come to real life. It's hard seeing that transition! Ok, I think I have become more of the patient's maid rather than a nurse. LOL. Well, as they always say, year 1 is like that.

I love the patients under my care a lot! I guess, I am already too emotionally attached to them already. I mean, how can I not when I am serving them 8 hours a day? I really love interacting with the old people.

Today, someone at the next cubical passed away. Although she is not under my care, I am in shock. Yesterday, I took blood pressure for her. Spent some time doing it because her arm was just made up of skin and bones. But the looks of her face, I just had the feeling that her time was running out. At least she passed on peacefully. Then, I thought to myself, what if those under my care were to pass on? So, I even more tried to look after them, initiate things and smiled at them every single time, causing me to be EVEN MORE emotionally attached to them.

Thinking of the brighter side, I will still miss them when they are discharged or when I finish my attachment. Can't wait to give them a firm hug before leaving them :)

I think I'm really set with nursing.. Because I would rather stare at people then to stare at computers or papers. Haha. And, my smiling technique works!! (it's my secret) It's brings a joy to my heart when I see happy faces on the patients.

Results Day

This morning when I woke up, quickly turned on the computer and checked my results online. I got 3.135 for my GPA. Reaction? Hmmm, quite happy as I got above 3. But I felt it was not good enough because if this becomes my graduating GPA grade, I can bid farewell to my dream of going to uni T___T Is this a sign to sign a bond with the hospital?? MAYBE!

Basically I got 3As, 1B+, 2Bs and 2Cs.

Quite pleased lah... becasue I was only expecting 2 As... And for horrible bio, I got B+! :) For the 2 Cs, erm, I knew that the paper was horrible to me.

Congrats to XiaoPing of course for her almost perfect score! :D She is seriously the bomb! Really ought to learn from her. At the same time, I wanna be like her :(

Ok, I think I'm like never sastisfied with the things I have. Well, that's me. I always want nice nice marks when it comes to studies. Who dosent?

I deserve it anyway... Only me myself know what I have been actually doing during exam breaks. Hmmmm.

Well, I'm still a happy girl today becasue of the lovely patients I have met! Through their cheerfulness, they made me realise that I have a beautiful life ahead and I should always be happy in the littlest things :)

My first day at NUH

I was really excited yet scared(shy) for today. Firstly, we all had to report at the auditorium and it was good seeing familiar faces like people from the same lecture group. Waited for some quite time before the staff from NUH came over and gave us a talk. I don't know if I have been brainwashed or something, but I really like this place! If given a choice to choose where I would want to work my whole life, it would definitely be NUH!

We went touring around the hospital and flashbacks came upon me as I recalled the area. Though, everywhere has been renovated and nicely done up.

As you know, I have been posted to a different ward from my classmates. But can I say that it is a blessing in disguise? Because Matt worked in the exact same ward as I! So more or less I do know certain things. The girls from other tutorial groups are nice too! Not hostile or whatsoever.

The only disappointing things is that I did handwashing wrongly as I mixed up the step! :( So much for practising in the public toilets when my friends are around to see. Nevermind... Learn again.. At least our clinical instructor is really nice!

Thank God I worked in banquet before coming here! They are somewhat similiar. Like when someone bigger asks you to do a certain thing, you just go "orh." and do it. Ok, maybe this time round, I have to be more initiative because this concerns life. But working is definitely not a problem to me! *recalls the 12hour working time in banquet, causing me to really faint* So I urge you to have a part time job during the holidays to learn and explore!

Doing afternoon shift tomorrow, which means I have time for myself and I can view my results tomorrow morning! (heard from everywhere that results will be out on the 16th)

Ok, time to recall my theory now! Don't wanna be blur tomorrow...

PS: I just hope that my left second left toe will shrink a few mm so that my shoes can be comfortable.

Surprising SiShi

It all started out with us popping by her house to give her a surprise! :D Shall spare you the details. Quite tired now... I don't really do this, but yeah :)Went to westmall food court for our pre celebration meal. It's part of a teaser too :PNext, headed down to Essential Brews! We ordered our food while waiting for WanTing... Oh, here she comes! HAHA.She was actually, opposite the road, then I called her to look over as we were waving vigrously... She said I was lame :(Anyway, for what has been shared during the weekend in service, about carrying the DNA of the church and it would be easy identifying members in public. The "theory" was proven when I could identify chc members sitting behind us as I overheard their conversation. In fact, some of them are from the same zone as me? But they wont know me.. Well, maybe only after the Zoe Conference :)SiShi's second cake... The church members behind SiShi.We tried many times to take a group photo...Then, every girl had the chance to take a solo pic with the soon to be 18 girl!More shots...

Hmmm, SiShi, I hope you had a great time :) Hehehe.

Anyway, tomorrow is the BIG DAY! Kind of nervous, like the first day of school. What I need now is a good rest though.

Ciao!
