Something Brief

As most of my friends are enjoying their holiday, I'm stuck at IMH :( The reason why I don't like to be attached there is because I have to travel 1hour 30mins to and back. Which means, 3 HOURS of travelling time in total! :/ Also, it's not really my interest. I prefer to learn medical stuff and to see sick people lying on beds. Heh.

Whatever it is, I have 6 more days there!!!! At least, I'm exposed these things many people(like you) can never experience! One thing for sure, I will have a lesser stigma towards people with mental disorders from now on.

Morning shift tomorrow!!! One thing to admire about nurses is that they go home just when the patient sleeps, and reports for work before they wake up!

MOMMY IS AWAY IN GERMANY :( I am so jealous!

So yeah, really enjoyed my Polyclinic attachment!! Altogether it was an awesome experience! Now I know that the Polyclinic is just not only to see the doctor, but many rooms are used for the nurses too!!

The 8 of us plus our beloved CI!! She's really nice, that is, she doesnt make you freak out or something! Heehee.

Going IMH next week! Had an awesome weekend!! Caught "How to train your dragon" with the cg peeps!!! A nice 3D movie!! Really, really interesting storyline!

Okay, time to have a good sleep. Finally, I can have the chance to wake up anything time I want!

The talk of the town - Results of Year 2 Sem 2

My facebook status days ago: Maria Boey has proved that NYP Musical did not distract her from her studies :D

As you can see, I did kind of well! :) I learned that nothing is impossible! Yeah!! I was quite frantic actually, after the musical, worrying that I may be lagging behind. So I guess, I made that lil extra effort? And the best thing that it paid off! Really thank God for His grace as well!!!

I first knew about the results via sms, looking at the grades, I could not help but to smile. And just when the staff nurse allowed us to check my GPA in the computer, I saw that my GPA was still the same. Like hello?! I did fairly well and my GPA is still the same! Why? Because I got C for attachment -__-

It's not fair AT ALL! The few of us in NUH get Cs and Ds and our classmates in other hospital gets B! I have millions of reasons why I should deserve a B okay. But whatever I voice out to the school won't be of use. I think that I am VERY rational. Let's see how it goes.

Hmmm, but who cares right? All the little results and GPA won't affect my working life in the future. I mean, we'll all still get the same pay and treatment. One thing for sure, I won't be LAZY and try to run away from work. (that will be another blogpost worth of explanation on why I made lazy on caps)

I LOVEEEEE my Polyclinic attachment!! :DDDD Sadly, tomorrow will be the last day :( I realise though it's kinda laid back and sian in a way, the nurses there are nice and we are helping the people in the neighbourhood area!! Yeah, I'll consider to work there when I have children or something. LOL!

Hello to a new week!

For those average Polytechnic people, it would be just another week of holiday for you. Hahaha. Well for me, I'm attached to BB Polyclinic which is conveniently 10minutes away from my house! :D Before ranting on, I just want to thank Marcus Yip for the nice gesture of buying chocolates for me from Perth! It is so timely now man! Cos I'm having chocolate cravings. Haha!

After dinner with the cell group on Saturday, I joined my 2nd family to see Nicole! She turns 5 today!!!!!! Time flies huh. She was only 1 plus plus when I first met her!!! Look how baby-ish she looks then...

Now, at 5 years of age!!! Hmmm, I wonder how she will look like when she grows older? I bet as pretty as her Mommy!! :)

Back to attachment day 1, I had the chance to observe immunisation to infants!! Feel privileged  to know all the information like the compulsary immunisations they need to have. It was my classmate, Hawa's birthday as well! 20 years old ka!! Heehee. My nerd :P

I see myself getting really tired the next few days so, off I go!!!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie

Yay yay!! The movie is coming out on 25th March 2010! Anyone wants to watch it with me?! :D If there isn't, I'm going to fly to WestMall one day after working in the Polyclinic next week. Like hello? I read all 4 four books and how can I miss out the movie? :D

My best friend auditioned to play the role of Greg, but she didn't pass :( Well, if she were to be in the movie, I bet more people will be more interested to watch it!! Too bad for the producers with their pathetic sense of taste.. They can't identify true talents. THEIR LOST!


Today marks the end of my 3 week holiday :( Honestly speaking, I would have been excited if I were to work in the ward. Oh well, who knows? I may enjoy my time in the Polyclinic and Hougang Chalet :) Which reminds me! Results coming out anytime soon!!! Argh, I just hope that I won't fail and take supp paper or repeat any module.

Had my post-CNY shopping. Very late, I know. But yeah! I'm quite happy with the purchases made :D I know that I am blessed. As I splurge on the other side, I shall control my spending and be very tight about it over here.

Long distance cycling tires me

Went cycling with my cell group at East Coast park!! :D It was fun and challenging! Heehee.

Holding my DSLR and cycling at the same time... Beat that!

So, we cycled about 20km?? Wow! That's long!! So I guess I managed to shed some fats away? NOTTTTTTTTTTT!

Had Macdonalds and ice cream!! Yummy! I could not resist the temptation lah. But alright, I gotta watch my eating. Ok, I'm banning myself from unhealthy food!!! After that we tried Koi!!! Yummy!! Love the pearls.

Haha. The last time I drank Koi was when the SA officers bought the performers a cup EACH after the musical!!! Sooooo nice of them! :)

Speaking of that, I miss those days, once again :(

Argh, HuiYu and PeiQing are flying OFF to Japan!! So envious! Hmph! Hahaha. Mommy is going to Germany as well!!!!!!!! SiShi is going to Xiamen :( What am I going to do? Spend my time in a Polyclinic and a Mental Institute. And then, BOOM! Year 3...

Random, but I miss my hair :( Shall wait for it to grow!!!!!!

Today I went to Vivo City with Nicole and her Mom!! Brought Nic around as her Mom was chilling out with her colleagues. Time flies and 4 years has passed! I still remember she wasn't that big when I first met her. Heehee. She's turning 5 coming Monday!!

It wasn't too long when I was 5 years old as well. Going to Calvary Pandan Kindergarden, wearing that uniform with the lil pocket on my tummy, singing songs during assembly time, holding Mommy's hand, disturbing my brother who was in Primary 5, sleeping on the waterproof mattress worrying that I may pee in my sleep, shouting for Mommy to clean my backside after pooping("Mommy tissue paper!" it's our secret language! hehe.), Daddy coming back at 7pm daily, having dinner as a family together everyday and many, many more...

If only I could go back to those moments for a day! How cool will that be?!
