Hello again! I'm right now at Tessaloniki, Greece safe in the hotel room! :D Well, I just finished lunch. Yummy. Aww man, means I'll get fatter again :/ My main purpose is to update what I have been doing in Turkey... Here it goes.
Day 1; Arrival
Just arrived at the train station, after sleeping in the night train, again. I find that I can sleep really well especially when the train moves. Maybe because when I was an infant, I was suspended by that thing that goes up and down when I sleep. Haha.

Checked into the hotel, had a really good nap and roamed the streets for food. My eyes glow when I see rice in Europe! Very hard to find it here. I think they added in salt to make it more tasty. Yummy.

Tea that I have been drinking every meal. Ahhh, nothing beats a nice hot cup of tea when it is sooooo cold outside!

Found this bazzar place where it would be crowded, colourful and crazy! Shop keepers will try their very best to pursuade us to buy their things. 90% think we are from Japanese. So they go, "Japanese?" and I go, "Hi!!!"(means yes in Japanese) Haaah. And of course with a big wide smile! :DDD

I have seen millions of this everywhere. Some sort of a good luck thing, didnt bother to read it up. Hahaha.
Day 2; Valetines' Day; Visits to Historical SitesWe visited the Blue Mosque and St Sophia, a church that was converted into a Mosque due to the change of rulers.
Don't ask me why the Blue Mosque is not so blue.

Inside of it. Beautiful! The dome is really really high!

St Sophia! No, I am not holding Malcolm's hand. I only hold his hands when I have my gloves on.

Outside, the dog was so friendly. I just made some cute noises and it came running to me. It decided to lay beside me and I pet it to sleep. Awww. When we left, it followed me for another 100meters before it left me alone. Poor dog, freezing in the cold.

Hoho, we also saw a cat couple mating in the middle of a pavement! I have the photo but I will not post it due to the younger readers in my blog. Haha. One of the policeman used his leg and scared them... Then, he saw me engrossed with them and said, "Free" Which I think he meant "Free show" Gahhh. Awww, what a romantic Valetines' Day I had.
A nice place we stopped for lunch.

Then, we visited some palace and the garden.

At night, we went to the spice market!!! Colourful spices all around. We also bought Turkish Delights. Eek! Too heaty and fat. Thanks to Turkey, I am having a cold, due to the snow and a sore throat, due to the food!
Day 3; Journey from Europe to Asia
If you didnt know, (which I also did not know at the 1st place) Turkey lies in both the continents Europe and Asia!! So we made our way to Asia by a ferry. Nothing much though.
Behind us is beautiful Asia! (eh, no difference actually)
Lamb Donor. I've eaten this till I am really sick of it.
Day 4; Last Day; Departure
It was snowing like crazy the whole day. But I did try to Turkish bath which was super shiok! Went into a dome like place, of course male and female had seperate areas. Something like suana. Obviously when you bathe you have to remove all your clothing right? Yes, that what I did. It didnt affact me at all. But I have never seen 20 other clothless women my whole life. Besides that, I was bathed by an old lady, who works there. Nice!! Feel so clean that I dont think I need to bathe for another 3 days. Oops.
Today's 18th Feb 2008. Exactly 2 years ago, you gave me something and it is still in my hands even right here in Europe. Did you really meant the words you said or was it false hope words?? "Keep this in your wallet to remind you to smile even when you feel least like! Remember I'm always here." This kept me going and it will follow me the rest of my life. Yes, I'll never forget you.
