Finally it's over!

And I almost cried when I had to say goodbye to the patients I've looked after for a week. I wished all of them a Happy Chinese New Year and to have better health (shen ti jian kang)!!! They really need it. I hope they will recover as soon as possible! :)

On the last day of attachment, the work wasn't that busy. So I had time to just observe certain things. What I saw touched my heart. It was love. True love. I got to see a 70-year-old couple being so loving after being together for so long. The husband comes everyday to visit his wife and does everything he can to make her comfortable. He wipes her face, puts water on her lips, massages her limbs so that they don't feel numb and always asks her if she is feeling alright. The best thing is that he does that everyday! Every morning, the wife askes me if it's 9am because that is the time her husband would usually come.

Another is a new mother with a 5-month-old son. She was very unfortunate when she had to encounter this incident. She lost her ability to talk and her right limbs are severely weak. When I was NG feeding her, I passed her the photograph of her mother holding on to her son. She took it with her left hand and stared at it for as long as she could. I guess this was what she was thinking... "Son, Mommy will recover soon and I promise to take care of you!"

It's just these simple things we normal people would not treasure. But for one thing I know, I will try my best to really love the people I love :)

Just when I thought I wanted attachment to end, I didn't really wanna leave. Nevermind, I will be a working nurse in about 1 and a half years' time! I guess quitting nursing would be a very hard thing for me to do =X

After the last shift of attachment, I went to school for yet another musical rehearsal! :D I must say that I'm getting more and more excited as the days are getting closer! Thus, the pressure to do really well. I must say that it has not been really good on my part. I just hope that on the actual days, it'll be something extraordinary. In the meantime, I need more practices!

One thing good about performances with big groups is that you get to know people more! :D Not only just the singers but the other dance groups as well!

And when the musical ends, I'll be thinking, "Man! Why did the rehearsals finished so fast?!" And bam! Exam time! :(

13 more days!
