On my very last day of holiday before I started work, Syu came over to do covers! Yesa! I like singing with her because she can harmonise too! Posted the videos on youtube and facebook. I know it wasn't perfect and really really good, but all I know is that we both had fun! And we learn so much more on our strengths and weaknesses.
So today I reported for work. Jeez! Somehow I just wish I could have back my student status :/ It's like we're no longer covered or sheltered by the school! We're on our own! So a photo with my PRCP buddy in our staff nurse uniform! :D
PeiWen has been happily working in MOT for the past 1 month. Hmm, today I suddenly thought to myself why on Earth did I choose one of the busiest and craziest ward? I kinda 'woke up' and freaked out. Then I remembered all the way back when I was in year 2, I kinda had the secret desire to work there one day. Who knew, I was posted there for my PRCP and now, I'm going to be a staff there! There must be a reason!!
Tomorrow's programme will be almost exactly what we did during the orientation of PRCP :/ I hope I can survive and keep my eyes open!

Finally, a hike!
So yesterday I woke up early in the morning to go for a hike/walk around MacRitche reservoir. Well, I was very much in the mood of ugly faces and the sun was shining so brightly, so that explains my face.
HuiYu! One day we go there ok! I won't mind walking the same trail again!
Anyway I have one big blister at the bottom of my little toe. Oh man, I wore nike sports shoes lor! But my Dad got them from Indonesia. Hahaha. Have to limp the next few days and prolly can't wear my heels just yet :/
Submitted some stuff to my HR and collected my nametag! OMGOMG STAFF NURSE LEH! Can see the transition. From student nurse to staff nurse! Woohoo! If you ask me, I'm quite excited about reporting for work this Wednesday! Can't wait to see my colleagues once again! Hope they'll be happy to see me! And then, I'm gonna start over a new leaf. I'm gonna be extremely hardworking, tactful, smart, observant, nice and smiley!
My career awaits me!

DC's Moving On 2011
I admit that I did put on some weight! :( Time to eat less baby!
So anyway, I attended DC's production! All I can say is that I finally understood the existence of DC!(oh, btw DC is Dance Company in NYP) The dance club shows all about putting your emotions in dance. It was the 6th item I think, that impacted me. Seeing the dancer's intense facial expression, body language and executing her steps with true emotions. Ah, it was beautiful. Really beautiful.
The last item was very creative! Using balloons!
Presenting HsinRui! The president of DC in a very cute and pretty outfit! I observed her and all, and I love her consistent big smile!
Took this cos of Ms Edelweiss! Didn't see her for quite some time!! She said that she'll be around during graduation! So hopefully I can catch and take a photo with her! :DDD
Oh but before that, I went to do some administrative stuff so that I can start work next week! Me with my conferment of diploma! Feel so happy lah! Went through so much to get those few documents.
Today I looked at some piece of paper and smiled :) Well, I won't wanna give myself false hope, like I always do. But I really hope what I saw is true :) Gotta wait for 2 months to find out...
This time, I got really want I wanted! :DDD I think...

And so...
... looks like I wasn't meant to have it.
I don't know why I am doing this to myself! But I just feel so disappointed about myself. Have I been giving myself false hope? Maybe I'm just over confident, way too much that I think I'm better than what I actually am. But was I no better 2 years ago? I still remember during a rehearsal when both of us were only in the room, she encouraged me to consider taking singing lessons. Like achieving until grade 8 that kind. When one asks you to take a step further in your thing, does it mean that you're good? Or bad? And then 2 years later, I wasn't considered, among 20 plus, only 4 were chosen. Actually I don't think I'll be affected if other people auditioned me, but her being the judge just made things worse.
Ok, it's just an audition. Maybe I wasn't prepared? Maybe the song wasn't really my type? Maybe there's a reason why it is better for me to back off and concentrate more in my career rather than to attend all the intensive rehearsals and go all crazy and tired.
Well, I would wanna look at the bright side. I need not run about during my actual graduation. I can sit nicely beside LingLi(if we're allocated according to reg no) and camwhore with our gowns. I can apply for 1 day off instead of many days that might be used for other schools or rehearsals. And the list can just go on...
Maybe this kinda thing isn't my thing anymore. Forget it Maria, you have your nursing career ahead of you...

In 24 hours, I'll be preparing to go to the airport!
The very cute tortoise Malcolm's landlady has. But it's like hiding right now after this clever Malcolm carried it into his room! I don't know leh. It's not moving at all. It'll be pretty sad if it dies! It's like 42 years old you know!!!
So results were out and the results which consisted of my OT, A&E and geron posting was a B+ (yay) and my PRCP which was Amazingly good! (yay) Actually all these don't matter. What matters most is that my final GPA is finally a 3.1!
I still remember I also got 3.1 for my first semester but it drop and didn't go back up ever since. I was just trying so darn hard throughout the months. I have never done so much self-disciplined mugging my whole life. The exams results turned out to be alright, but that wasn't enough to pull up my average. (funny though that the 2 semester exams which were sandwiched between musical rehearsals were the ones who helped pull up the average, but only a bit) So, all thanks to my final semester grades :)
Whatever lah! I CAN GRADUATE! I CAN REGISTER TO BECOME A STAFF NURSE! :D
I can't wait for my graduation! Oh man, heard that graduation audition(for singing) is round the corner. I really hope I would be given the chance to sing. I know I ain't the best among the talented people in school, but I guess it'll mean so, so much to me. It's like I've never been awarded for doing well or being involved for any major leadership thing my whole poly life. But being able to sing for graduation beats all these things. Well, I still need to compete. People just reminded me that if I'm fated to have it, I'll have it.
I hope I'm fated to have it.

2 more days to HSH!
Wow! The moment is finally coming! I am finally going back home! Alright, I guess it's very mean and selfish to say that because people want their holiday but they can't blah blah. I must say that I had a good time in one way or another here! :)
Hmmm, maybe I am not meant to have long holidays. Or maybe I'm the kind who needs really good friends to have an enjoyable holiday :) Yeah, that reminds me. My poly friends are having a trip to Bangkok on the day I start work!! :( So jealous! 4 girls, having the time of their lives! I know you girls are reading this so Bon Voyage and enjoy yourselves. Don't forget to get me something :P
So I have a really long list of things to do when I return! I hate the fact that I have only 1 week to do whatever I want before I start work and be a slave to my patients. Hahaha.
To be honest, I'm pretty excited about work! It's like stepping into a new phase in my life! :D Well, I don't really have the worried feeling because I think I'll have a very high chance in going back to Ward 43. Which means I'll be happy to see my colleagues! And I guess I got PRCP to thank. At least I won't be like a newbie newbie but at least I know very much how things work there. All I'm hoping for right now is that my colleagues won't dislike me due to my poor performance.
Hohoho, not forgetting pay day! Working hard and getting the 'reward' on the 25th of every month! Oh, and all the frequent patients are gonna see me in a different uniform! I'll be happy to know that they are proud of me! :)
Hmmm, 2 thoughts I have in my mind right now...
Hoping to find the real answer in my dreams.

Germany Adventures
This is the reason why I am growing FAT. Hehehe. As we returned from Spain, Malcolm rented a car on Wednesday. We for a road trip with ShouHeng and his parents :D This is what I had for lunch!
Drove through beautiful scenery and to an outlet shopping area. Ended the trip at Ikea buying a lot of stuff!
The next day was ShouHeng's birthday! Had lunch in a Japanese restaurant! Nice!!
ShouHeng's girlfriend, Maylis!
That night we took a night bus all the way to Hamburg! It was a 9 hour ride. Only slept for like 3 hours or so? But this was the moment I had been waiting for!!! :D In the morning went to the box office to get myself a Tarzan ticket for that night! YESSSSSSS! Paid 30euros for 90euros worth of seat! WOOHOO!
Met up with Malcolm's friend Mia and Kia and their family. They are Singaporeans who stays in Hamburg! They own a shop! Saw the lives they led. Very simple and nice. Maybe I would be like them? Hehe.
At night proceeded back to the theatre and watched Tarzan! Oh man! Nice! I teared at the first part because the effects were simply too beautiful! Stunts were amazing and the actors were excellent! Even though I know nuts about German, I enjoyed myself. After the musical, went to the train station to catch our train to Basel, which is way down South. So, night sleeping train. Malcolm got us first class and the experience was wonderful! See, stairs to your cabin!!
Sleeping so comfortably...
We were served breakfast on board.... Nice!
Arrived at Totnau and had black forest cake in the midst of the black forest!!
Hohoho! I finally did this!!! :D Hassenhorn alpine coaster!!
Sitting on the chairlift going up up up!
I love the ride!! If Bukit Timah Hill could have this, I will ride it every week!!
The video of the ride...
Took the bus back and enjoyed the Black Forest covered with snow.
Yesterday, went to meet up Singaporeans studying in Germany for a hike. Gosh, I have never been so tired my whole life! Was panting like crazy. Need to train up on my stamina!! :D
Us taking a break!!
Ended the day at a festival. Nice atmosphere...
Hohoho. Pork knuckles!!
So, wine was ordered and I was 'mabok' after dinner. Urgh. Yuck yuck yucks! I'm never gonna take alcohol with food!!! Hate the feeling! Then we went out of the tent and enjoyed a 12 minute long firework display. Ahhhh.
Finally did all the things I wanted to do here :) Home in 3 days!!! :D

Spain Trip
Arrived in Madrid. I totally love the hostel! The view overlooks a traffic junction! I guess I really like to see busy things outside my window. Like my own room, overlooking the coffeeshop.
Malcolm commented that the trains in Spain are well-mantained and I totally agree with him!
After exploring abit of Madrid on the same day, we have to wake up really early the following morning to head to Malaga. It was a 3 hour train ride. From there, we took a 45 minute Metro ride to Fuengirola. This hotel was the best amongst all the hotels/hostels we stayed.
Fuengirola is by the sea. It felt really good to smell the salt and feel the breeze of the sea.
Had Fish N Chips with beer!!
Next day we went back to Malaga to visit the shopping areas and the old town. Overview from the hill!
Then, we went to Gibraltar the following day. Gibraltar is really a small country, and she is part of the United Kingdom. They use the British Pounds as their currency. The landmark would be this slab of rock. From almost every part of the country, one can see the peak of the rock! This is from the south of the country.
And this is taken at the border of Spain and Gibraltar.
The next day we took a 7 hour train ride to Santiago. There's this church here, where people walk from countries as far as France or Germany. And you can see the moment of joy when they arrive at their final destination.
My favourite thing to do is the feed the birds! So I always put aside leftover bread after a meal. Hehe.
Next day we went to A Corona and see see lor... I was kinda getting sick of everything already. Hahaha.
It's called the Hercules tower or something...
At night we took the sleeping train to proceed back to Madrid. I had a room to myself whereas Malcolm had to squeeze with like 3 other men. Yay!
Arrived in Madrid and had Churros!
Went to a theme park and thank God the weather was awesome!!! This was the scariest roller coaster ride ever!! The initial part would be going vertically upwards then a 90 degree turn upside down! I was so terrified and closed my eyes throughout.
The leg-hanging wasn't so bad even though it had loops and cock screws. So you can see a smile! :DD Actually I was feeling kinda nauseous at that moment.
Towards the evening we went to watch bull fight.
Little did I know that bulls would be killed and humiliated in front of the whole stadium during a bull fight. The red cloth thing is to make the bull grumpy and all, but eventually the bull fighter will stab a sword all the way in into the bull's back. Sad right! I started to youtube bull fights and saw a couple of incidences the bull fighter being seriously injured or killed. I felt kinda happy because bull fighters are so heartless when they kill those innocent bulls! But I can't say much lah, because I eat beef. Heh... Anyway this has been a tradition for so many years and local old men love watching it.
Next day walked around Madrid. Was tired tired tired. Hehe..
So I'm back here in Germany! For those who are following me in twitter, you can see the frustration I have about my brother. But I am so serious. I ain't exaggerating.. Nevermind.
ONE MORE WEEK TO HOME! OLE!
