Had to make myself blog but suddenly I had the urge not to :P
Mandatory shot with mom and our festive living room!!! Mom is learning to smile! She's getting better!
Finally we had a proper Boey family photo! Heehee. All of us are growing so old! :/
So old that my cousin had to give me an ang pow because she is already married. It's a sign for me. Buck up, Maria :P But you can't blame me~ I already tried my best to dress up and look good. Wahaha.
A small family photo because 3 of the family members are overseas.
Have been back at work but somehow I am still in the holiday festive mood :/ Sigh sigh sigh. I have also been getting real tired from work. My stamina is just too lousy. Ok, I shall set some CNY goals:
TO EXERCISE AND LOSE WEIGHT!!!!!
Still waiting for interview results. God, help me please.

Yay It's CNY!
So after working for 3 tiring days in 43, I am having my 4 days off! :D Well, if you ask me, I do feel happy! But tired... Hope I will be refreshed during the long weekend and go back to work with a big "bang" :)
Hehehe, just share some photos... Had an impromptu lunch with Elson on the 14th and took awesome shots with me and my bike!!! :)
I actually got into a little accident recently and you can see a crack on my bike if you look close enough :( Boohoo. Hmmm, maybe it's a sign to change the whole look of the bike! Hehehe. Well, not so soon I guess :P
Next day I had reunion at my aunt's. We hardly take group photos so here's a nice shot of the Wang family! I'm glad yet a little envious of their lifestyle :P But it's ok. I am happy with my life! :)
Alright, spent my evening cleaning my living room. I just realised that my room isn't packed yet. Oopsy. Shall do it when I wake up lah! Heehe. Happy to be spending the Chinese New Year with my family and loved ones...
I got a little emotional when I had a few of my Chinese patients not going home for CNY :( This morning at work, the doctors offered this particular patient to be discharged because she was fit to. But she strongly refused. She didn't want to be discharged. Or is it because she could not get herself discharged as her family would be too occupied to look after her if she were to go home? Sigh....
And another palliative patient not doing so well. Despite only looking after her for 3 days, I dreamed of her. I dreamed of her sick-free, and she appeared as a very nice ah ma... But because of her pain and suffering, and probably dementia, she's behaving like that now :(
So yeah, I am really counting my blessings. Hmmm, if I get to make a wish for the new year, I simply wish that all my patients will get well and be happy throughout the Chinese New Year! That's the beauty of working in 43. I really get to connect and feel for my patients.
新年快乐, 万事如意!!

Last Weekend
Watched Val's concert last Saturday after service... The concert was great. It made me miss classical singing. It's nice to see how the bunch of us came down to support her :)
It's really a small world out there!! Benedict was also performing in the concert too! I am proud to know that I know 2 of the "old birds" in Vocal Concort :P That was my riding attire btw :P
Had a pretty late dinner and celebrated dear ah jie Jamie's birthday! Loving this gang so much!! I know gangs formed in church might not be a good thing... But it really made us closer and more like a.... family!! I'm definitely looking forward to see these peeps every Saturday during service!
I'm right now 2 days left in Ward 71, a paying class ward. I'm glad to have been through this "period". It's always something that I look forward to as different stuff in my life happens. Like... always counting down. I'm also happy and proud to be in 43 itself :) Spent an hour there today, and just with little interaction here and there with the patients, I can connect so well with them and be myself! No doubt I learned many things from 71... But I will still call 43 my home :)
Alright... For now, I'm looking forward to Chinese New Year! A time to look pretty and take awesome photos and have gatherings... Then signing up to volunteer in Assisi Hospice. Then my CNY show. And hopefully, to receive good results of my sponsorship!
Lord, help me. Do a miracle in my life :)

I'm a happy girl
So, I've been practicing and getting used to my beloved bike. Guess the more I ride, the more feelings I develop for him. Hehehe. It's like I'm trusting him with my own life!! More adventures with you dear!
It was nice to have experienced riders bringing me around and guiding me :) Thankful for having such friends...
A new adventure awaits. Maria is officially going to use her bike!

Thankful...
Just finished yet another night shift. On my way home, I thought of so many things to be thankful to God for :)
1) I'm going back to 43 on 16 Feb :) I was supposed to stay in 71 till end of Feb, but now I'm called back to help hold the fort. Yay! I shall leave it to another blog post to share about my 71 experience.
2) I have a new lappy. Heee. I don't know why. Dad just bought it from the Philippines and asked someone to bring it back for me. I need it because the desktop has been "freezing" :/
3) I am going to start my bike adventures tomorrow!!
4) Tomorrow will be a wonderful day with some of the Juicez peeps!! Yay!!
5) Having my scholarship interview tomorrow. I am really hoping for the best! This is something that I have always wanted!!! Hope all will be well :)
6) CNY is round the corner, and I get to eat yummy food!
Ok, time to zzzzzzzz....
