Back to Typing Again

YES, IT'S A NEW POST FROM ME!

Hohoho. Right now, I am using a proper computer in Imperial Collage! One of my friend, Benny is studying there and he needed to settle some of his stuff in school so he dumped me in this computer area. I was like, "Yay!"

Things have been super duper great in London! I love it here! I don't feel so afraid actually :D

Yesterday, I was out touring myself. On the London Eye, I bumped into a Singaporean couple! They were both so nice that they asked me to go about with them and even get me a treat for coffee! Heh. It was really a blessing to know them... I'll feel in the details when I return okie?

Tonight we are going to watch a play, "Wicked!" So exciting! We bought it for £25 sitting on £60 seats due to the student offer! Whooopee! But £25 is still expensive... About 75SGD. But so what? Holiday should be a time to spend.. Looks like I really needa work and save when I return.

Tomorrow I should be wondering around again. Actually, I think it's quite fun seeing things yourself. Not only you learn to be independant, but also you can really, really take your time and admire and the beautiful things. Well, but of course I do love company too! Ok, this phrase goes nowhere.

Wonder how are ALL my friends in Singapore are! Really miss you all! Hehehe. Take care alrighty? And I hope to see you all soon!!!!

Safe in London

Hello guys! You don't how happy I am to be online man. Had a couple of important emails to reply and blogs to read. Haha. Well, at least I can blog now, so you guys wont think I am dead. Reason why I could not get online? The lappy I brought crashed! Like how great, it was supposed to be given to aunty Kathy. Sian. Her computer is being sent for repair too. So now I'm using my LOL humble iPod touch, even it can't do much like going to MSN messenger and typing is super troublesome for me, tapping on the smallest keyboard ever. But well, at least I'm on and that's make me really happy! :D

Anyway, London has been lovely! Well, it's definitely better than Germany! Cos everything is in English. LOL. Well, it also brought back good old childhood memories. Still, I can't believe I am here. I am no longer homesick. Yay. Even, I am fine without the internet here. Hehe.

Aunty Kathy has been really nice to me, treating me with lots of care. Enjoying talking with her the times with her with I came over with her the previous time.

Not forgetting my outings with dear Sophia! :D Love her to the bits with her cheery laughter and bright smile. Hee. Hmm, I will post all the photos when I get back ok? But I wish I can stay in London for a longer time. Dumdeedum.

So you guys take care k? Tag more! Sorry can't reply but I can read them all! Love you all! :DDD

Here For A Reason

Coming here and cleaning all Malcolm's mess has been like a mirror to me, I guess. It's like once I have packed nicely a certain thing, the next hour or so he would be looking for something and turning the place upsidedown. It upsets me, really.

Then, I remembered how I would not bother about washing the plates after eating until my Mother nags at me, or after looking for a certain item at home, I would not put it into its original position and the next time I can't find it, I would shout, "Mommy!! Have you seen it anywhere?!"

I am so eager to go home, to pack up my room once again! (i packed it before i left) I seriously miss my purple room. Ahhh. I also miss my Mommy... Never will I wanna make her angry again...

Hmmm, I realise too that some "angels" have been sent to Malcolm, to take good care of me... My dad and Shou Heng(the guy who sat in the plane with me) told him, "Please do not abuse Maria-she is your sister afterall" and, "Take good care of your sister ah"(not accurate words) respectively. The thing is, I didnt ever tell them how badly I am treated by Malcolm! Amazing! So Malcolm, do becareful of the things you are doing. Someone is watching...

So tomorrow, off I go to London! Hmmm, kinda scared actually. Even though I have been there once, I am still afraid that I may lose my way there. Again, remember my past victories! I survived in Austria myself! Somemore I couldent speak their local language at all(German). But in London, I can speak English! Nevertheless, do pray for me k? :)

Back in Ludwigshafen

Yes, finally 'home sweet home'!! Well, I am currently down with a bad flu. The tap's on and it my nose keeps dripping non-stop! Grrr. In a cold country somemore. Grrr. But today and tomorrow I will be slacking here. Correction, I will be here, cleaning up my Brother's mess! I just cannot stand the condition he is living in! ALREADY, I have cleaned up his table... What's next? Food area, kitchen, shelf, and clothes area!!! I don't even clean up my room so nicely can! But I have totally no idea what is motivating me to clean up. Besides, I will only spend 3 more nights here! Whoopee! *counts the no. of days left to return to sunny Singapore*

Anyway, updates!! Yesterday was simple... Returning home from Greece. Took 5 hours of travelling time.

Plane and...train.Oh, and we stopped by in Metzingen for more Outlet Shopping! One store we went to... HUGO BOSS. I have never seen HUGO BOSS clothes below 150SGD my whole life! But I didnt buy any... Either it was too much for my budget, or the top wasent nice. Sorry, I think this brand is meant for adults and I'm still young :P My Brother bought some pants however. There were better shops that impressed me though :) Didnt buy a lot anyway. BUDGET!!!

I have decided to work at Oriental AGAIN once I return. *heard the pay there increased* :D Anyway all these clothes buying is not because I am a shopaholic alright? I am just making up for the Chinese New Year clothes I didnt get to buy back home :DDDD

Talking about working at Oriental again, I love to serve in weddings! Watched online service of the CNY week. I could feel the ambience, so ......Ah! (can't get a word to describe it)

Ok, back to cleaning up...

Hello NYP!

When I woke up, I received a messaged from my handphone. I opened and it said,

"Congrats (my name), you are posted to NANYANG POLY NURSING (C97) under 2008 JAE"

Then, I went back to sleep. LOL. Hmmm, but I was dreaming about my future school and all that... I am going to step into the next phrase of my life. Well, this has already determined my life. This will be my career.

Ok, cut the crap, so drama.

There's Nothing Here!

I am as bored as these 2 pigeons here. There is really nothing here! Imagine stepping into Bukit Batok as a tourist. No, wrong. Even Bukit Batok has West Mall to shop around. Therefore, I have been hogging the laptop since yesterday when we arrived! :D

Goodie, tomorrow we're going back home! As in to Germany. Going to rest there for 2 days before leaving for London. I can't wait to get over and done with the trip to London, because after that, it's home sweet home for me! :D But that will be another 3 weeks. Pfffft.

Well, not so bad lah, cos I am going to visit 3 special people!
Aunty Kathy (Family friend)- I'm going to stay at her house throughout my stay there!
Sophia- Spend the weekend with her! :)
Benny- Spend either a Wednesday or Friday with him.

I promise I will jog twice around my neighbourhood and eat lesser when i return. (let me think twice about the jogging first ;D)

Turkey

Hello again! I'm right now at Tessaloniki, Greece safe in the hotel room! :D Well, I just finished lunch. Yummy. Aww man, means I'll get fatter again :/ My main purpose is to update what I have been doing in Turkey... Here it goes.

Day 1; Arrival
Just arrived at the train station, after sleeping in the night train, again. I find that I can sleep really well especially when the train moves. Maybe because when I was an infant, I was suspended by that thing that goes up and down when I sleep. Haha.Checked into the hotel, had a really good nap and roamed the streets for food. My eyes glow when I see rice in Europe! Very hard to find it here. I think they added in salt to make it more tasty. Yummy. Tea that I have been drinking every meal. Ahhh, nothing beats a nice hot cup of tea when it is sooooo cold outside!
Found this bazzar place where it would be crowded, colourful and crazy! Shop keepers will try their very best to pursuade us to buy their things. 90% think we are from Japanese. So they go, "Japanese?" and I go, "Hi!!!"(means yes in Japanese) Haaah. And of course with a big wide smile! :DDDI have seen millions of this everywhere. Some sort of a good luck thing, didnt bother to read it up. Hahaha.Day 2; Valetines' Day; Visits to Historical Sites
We visited the Blue Mosque and St Sophia, a church that was converted into a Mosque due to the change of rulers.
Don't ask me why the Blue Mosque is not so blue.Inside of it. Beautiful! The dome is really really high!St Sophia! No, I am not holding Malcolm's hand. I only hold his hands when I have my gloves on.Outside, the dog was so friendly. I just made some cute noises and it came running to me. It decided to lay beside me and I pet it to sleep. Awww. When we left, it followed me for another 100meters before it left me alone. Poor dog, freezing in the cold.Hoho, we also saw a cat couple mating in the middle of a pavement! I have the photo but I will not post it due to the younger readers in my blog. Haha. One of the policeman used his leg and scared them... Then, he saw me engrossed with them and said, "Free" Which I think he meant "Free show" Gahhh. Awww, what a romantic Valetines' Day I had.
A nice place we stopped for lunch. Then, we visited some palace and the garden. At night, we went to the spice market!!! Colourful spices all around. We also bought Turkish Delights. Eek! Too heaty and fat. Thanks to Turkey, I am having a cold, due to the snow and a sore throat, due to the food!

Day 3; Journey from Europe to Asia
If you didnt know, (which I also did not know at the 1st place) Turkey lies in both the continents Europe and Asia!! So we made our way to Asia by a ferry. Nothing much though.

Behind us is beautiful Asia! (eh, no difference actually)

Lamb Donor. I've eaten this till I am really sick of it.

Day 4; Last Day; Departure
It was snowing like crazy the whole day. But I did try to Turkish bath which was super shiok! Went into a dome like place, of course male and female had seperate areas. Something like suana. Obviously when you bathe you have to remove all your clothing right? Yes, that what I did. It didnt affact me at all. But I have never seen 20 other clothless women my whole life. Besides that, I was bathed by an old lady, who works there. Nice!! Feel so clean that I dont think I need to bathe for another 3 days. Oops.

Today's 18th Feb 2008. Exactly 2 years ago, you gave me something and it is still in my hands even right here in Europe. Did you really meant the words you said or was it false hope words?? "Keep this in your wallet to remind you to smile even when you feel least like! Remember I'm always here." This kept me going and it will follow me the rest of my life. Yes, I'll never forget you.

Greetings From Istanbul

Hello guys! Sorry for the lack of updates, because this Turkey in hotel dosent have internet access :( But anyway, I'm at the neighbouring hotel's lobby. Abit cheapskate and paiseh when the hotel staff see 3 of us each using our own devices when we are not even the guests here!!!!!

Sorry unable to update photos cos I need to plug in my camera blahblah and I'm sure the hotel staff will chase us out. However, we've checked in Greece that there will be wireless in the hotel and I can update you guys!!!! :D So please stand by and wait. I will reach there on Sunday morning.

Istanbul has been alright. But I am really sick of the food here. Bread, bread and more bread. Always walking up and down steep roads and breathing oout smoke every breath I make.

Ok, time to do my own surfing, before I get chased out! :D Toodles!

Mall Of Sofia

Now I am a shopping centre at Sofia using my lappy on wi-fi! Woot! Well, just afraid that I will not in internet connection at Istanbul. So better update here!

This morning, we decided to go to Bankya to expirence some baths, as Malcolm recommended. Took a cab there, costing about S$13. Interesting the starting fare for taxis costs S$0.60 and they jump 1 cent by 1 cent! Hehe! Cool!!! Definitely unlike Singapore. Hmph.

So we arrived, not expecting some ulu place where NO ONE could speak English, German or French. So we played charades everywhere. In the end, we did not take any baths and took a cab ride of 45minutes for NOTHING!!! Malcolm repented and he decided to absorb our branch at some cafe. The menu had no English and we had to point point the things we wanted to eat!

Then, just in time, we took a regional train back to Sofia City. The train? CMI!!!!!!! It is like they didnt wash or clean the train since it was built! Urgh! I felt I was sitting inside a ghost train.

Now, safe in a shopping centre! :D The thing good about Bulgaria, there is wireless almost everywhere! Malcolm concluded that half of the time we were using the internet here! Hehe.

Ok, now off I go to the train station, taking the sleeping train to Istanbul! Pray for me!! We are going to more and more dangerous places. MALCOLM!!!!!!!!! GRRRR.

My hair smells of smoke.

Sight Seeing in Sofia

Had a good night's sleep at the hotel last night.(at least better than my brother's home) Yeshh! Finally a decent bed to sleep on. So after breakfast at the hotel, we went out to the town area. The weather was good! Finally, I felt snow falling on my face! :D Managed so catch some snow on my gloves and had a good look at it for the first time! Yay!

So we went about looking at the Orthodox Churches and Museums. Bulgaria has a very interesting culture :) Photos ahead!

We had lunch and proceeded to Boyana Church, a very old and well-preserved church high up on a hill. It was my favourite because I like hiking up hills with nature all around. Oh, and I kicked a lot of snow too. Heehee. The evidence of me stepping on snow!! It is very slippery too! Me with my new Esprit beanie and scarf! Both costing 6euros. Cheap!
The small chruch was amazing. I had to even bend down to enter. Inside, there were paintings well preserved. It was truely amazing! Too bad, photography was not allowed so I didnt take any photos. We were too cold to go anywhere else and decided to go back to the hotel. Funny thing, on the way back, we wanted to take a bus back to Sofia City.. My brother asked a stranger if the bus was going and that stranger nodded his head! Then, after sitting in the bus for a long time, we were actually heading towards the wrong direction! Of course my brother could find a alternative way back.

In the hotel, Malcolm insulted that stranger. But then Jian Nong remembered that in Bulgaria, a 'yes' is a shake and a 'no' is a nod. So we all laughed like mad in the room. HAHAHA. So hard to adjust the nodding and shaking. Haha.

For dinner, we went to hotel's restarunt. Good food! Hot Chocolate is my new favourite drink! :DTomorrow is going to be a long day! Going to take the sleeping train again to Istanbul, Turkey. Hope it'll be a safe one. Bet the CNY holidays are over and it's back to normal life for you guys! Haha.

But I just wanna say there's no place like home! I miss home! :( Wonder how are all my friends doing, not doing the usual talks and meet ups. Argh.

Dinner

Just came back from dinner! Finally nice and warm here in the hotel. Outside is freezing cold! :S Anyway, a photo of me before boarding the night train :DDinner at some Bulgarian place. The food was good and I love olive oil! This is my favourite, bacon wrapped with cheese! After dinner we walked to Dunkin Dounuts for some hot chocolate. Yummy!Last but not least, I miss them! :(Ok, time to sleep. Heh. Toodles!

Arrival at Sofia, Bulgaria

Hello everybody! I'm now safe in the hotel room. Hehehe. Well, took a uber long journey to Sofia.
Started out with taking a train at Stuttgurd Hopbahnhof(Main Station) and from there, took the inter city train to the airport and took a airport to Thessaloniki, Greece.

Then, took a sleeping train all the way. This was my first time taking the sleeper train. Cool! The 3 of us, Malcolm, Jian Nong(my bro's classmate) and myself slept on top of each other! Like a triple bed. So we arrived at Sofia, not knowing where to go, which what Malcolm LOVES. He like exploring places he dosent know and guessing the language. Because here they use Cryllic, which really looks like some alien signs.

Not a very fantastic tourist destintion I must say as the streets are full of rubbish, everything is always under construction and half the population smokes. Phew! Once, I open the hotel window, all I can smell is smoke.

Now we're all resting in the room, before exploring the place further.

Till then!!

I still miss home :(

CNY 2nd Day

This will be a short post as it is very late now... Today, I went shopping! Smiled from ear to ear, seeing all the cheap items, well, not all lah. However I only bought either cheap items or items there are of the same price, but cannot be found in Singapore. This is what I call retail therapy man!Wanted to buy stuff for some of my friends actually, but my brother said,"Aiya! You dont know what they want, what size and all that, later they dont wear then you know!" But I am going to buy chocolates from Germany for you guys! :D

After shopping, we proceeded to Ian's place, one of the Singapore kid in Germany and had a Chinese New Year gathering. Cool eh. You guys must be thinking I'm alone and all that, but I have great company!! In total, 10 Singaporeans were under one roof! Joked and chated. I enjoyed myself! BUT I STILL MISS HOME! :(((
So tomorrow, off I go to Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey! My brother said we are going to sleep in a 3 star hotel suite! Hopefully there will be internet connection and I can update you guys again! Yeah!

More train rides, so more emoing to come. Hahaha.

Home Sick

Now I know why my Brother ever nicely invited me to go over to Germany. SO THAT I COULD CLEAN HIS APARTMENT FOR HIM! Yes, we(me and cousin Teddy) spent our first day of Chinese New Year cleaning Malcolm's room. I made sure I cleared away A LOT of the good luck too! Yeah!

But in the morning we had a video call with home as most of the relatives were already there. Greeted them and all that. It made me miss home a lot :(

And I am home sick! :( I miss my NEAT room, my lappy and the hot hot weather in Singapore! I regret loving the cold. I prefer to go all sweaty and hot! :D I also have to bear with my Brother's smell here. Good thing I have my Dove Deodorant here with me at least, it kept me alive.

I can be called "Miss Sunshine"! Because I brought the sun where ever I go. Well, it was raining on Friday, the day before I arrived and on Saturday to Monday it was sunny! On Tuesday, it rained in Germany, while I was in Austria but Austria's weather was great for my tour! The locals mentioned it was raining the past few days before. On Wednesday, I was raining in Germany until about 5pm when I arrived back my train! Cool ah... Well, for those who DID pray for the weather fro me, thanks a million. (of cos I prayed myself too. heh)

Tomorrow is going to be AWESOME! Factory Outlet shopping!! Woot! I'm going to shop till I drop... Dumdeedum.

I can't wait till I arrive back to Singapore. I can play with my new PSP!(brought back from Germany as my bro dosent wanna play with it) and my another new toy! Yes I am really spoilt! Don't blame me, blame my dad ;)

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Back And Alive

Hello everybody! I'm back! But first,

Me ice-skating in the cold. Hahaha.
Yes, so I departed from my Brother... Was emo-ing in the train. So scary can! Unsure of where to go and all that.Emo-ing. I was REALLY scared! Oh, and I got lost in Munich as I had to change train there too. Was supposed to find a place for lunch, had a hard time finding my way back to the train station. But thankfully I managed to find my way back and boarded the train to Salzburg!5 hour train ride. Snow!!!Yeshh! I arrived there eventually and had to find the house ALL BY MYSELF. There wasnt any problem though. Was captured by the beautiful Utersburg. Ahhh!Placed my backpack and settled for awhile before going around to orientate myself. Was sitting on the benches by the park nearby.Had an early night(1900hours) and woke up for my "Sound Of Music" Tour!!! Waiting for the bus to come. The tour was alright only lah, not as fantastic as I expected. 30euros leh! By the lake where Maria and there children were boating.I am 16 going on 17! Oops wrong.I'll depend on you! :D (those who watch the movie will understand only)Somewhere up in Mondsee.Sew, a needle pull and thread. After the whole tour, went round wondering myself. Watched some people playing a game of chess. It's been a long time since I've played chess! Then paid 7euros to get into a castle(forgot the name) high up on a hill. I really wonder how they built it.I was just in time for see the beautiful sunset. Ahhh! Beautiful! Everytime I smilied, my lips cracked :\The sun setted and it was dark, which means time to go home. Walking along the Rhien(river) home...Eno-ing again. This was my dinner. Burger King. LOL! I couldent find any Austrian food.Lovely breakfast the host served! :)Had to pack up and leave liao... That's me with my backpack.(even though it cant be seen here. Haha)Byebye Salzburg!Managed to meet my cousin as planned at Hendilburg(sp) and we went back to Ludwigshafen! Well, for those of you who were pitying me for missing out so much on reunion dinner, I had fun here too! :D 3 of us(cousins) had swiss steamboat(cheese fondue). Had my fair bit of laughter too. What a lovely reunion dinner! :DPreparing the stuff. We also opened up our ang baos I brought from Singapore! Not fair! My Brother got 20euros and I only got 10 :( BIAS! Then, my Brother told cousin Teddy how he was slapped by my dad in order to average out the money of ang baos in the past. (I didnt even recall that!) But anyway, HECK! I can always earn my own money (^_^)V

Yup, that's it! Happy Chinese New Year!!!!!!

Strangely I dreamt of a person. I am fulfilling 2 of the person's dream. (you should know who you are) I miss you sooooooooooooo much :( Message me ok? I'm sure it'll make my day!!! :((((
