New Year's Eve- A Year in Review
Anyway, here's a review of 2014 :)
1) Completed my advanced diploma course
Those 8 months were something worth remembering. Kinda loved school life and glad that I made new friends and got closer to existing friends. I did not too bad by getting a total GPA of 3.49. Though my aim was to get 3.5, it's just 0.01 of a difference so it doesn't matter~
2) Various performances
Doing VIVA in The Esplanade, doing various shows for Juicez and of course this led me to a free holiday for myself a few weeks back on the cruise :D Most importantly I how I grew closer to the Juicez peeps :)
3) Signed up for bike lessons
And I am FINALLY taking my TP on 20th Jan! Urgh, I really hope I can pass the first time round... I can almost smell my own bike! Really want to go to the roads and live out my life!!
4) Had my most independent Europe trip
Yeap!! Proud to say that I did it and I survived! But next time, I shall just stick to a holiday where there will be lots of relaxing and napping ;)
5) Major purchases
I'm not sure if these are worth remembering.... Hahaha. Bought my fossil bag, my prada wallet, my samsung camera with different lenses, and yesterday I just received my ONA bag!! YAY!!
Ok, I hope my plans for 2015 will come true!! Stay tuned to know what they are :)
Happy new year guys!

Christmas Eve- A special proposal
Jamie & I enjoyed the lighting in the toilet so we had to take this pretty shot!!! :D We(or rather I) nicknamed this shot- "Jeanette Aw & Rui En" xD Ok, such thick skin!! :P
This was after we decorated the room and was waiting for the cue from Mr Tan!
My role was to take video throughout the whole thing!! I must say that I am pretty proud of myself that I managed to take the precious moment and the genuine emotions that were around :) Still to improve on my unsteady arms though... Presenting THE moment :')
Lovely shot of the couple!
Groupie photo!!! I had much fun!! Thanks Roy for having us :)
Had dinner nearby... And of cos more group photos!!
With the beautiful tree in Ritz Carlton!
I already can't wait to attend their wedding!!! I wish the couple eternal happiness!!

Busy December
Kat & I with Ter behind on a little boat to Malacca!!
Love you all muacks muacks muacks!
That night was onesie night!! So 3 of us wore our onesies and walked around the cruise! Caught up with some good old friends too ;) Played "heads up" and had much laughter in the cabin. Basically, there wasn't much time in the cruise for me personally!! I simply just had not enough sleep and time spent with these people! T_T
The mascots of Costa Victoria!! Wahahaha.
On the last night of the cruise, finally did our show!~ It was scary because of my wisdom tooth problem the week before and I also caught a flu and sore throat on the cruise trip!! But all was well, thank God!
Caught SoundCard production!~ It was my first time watching the production as an audience! Heeehe. Love the creativity of the members now! We used to have only the stage, mics and some basic lighting. This year's production had graphic backdrop, smoke machines and even sets!!!
Yay yay yay!! The awesome alumnus!~ I'm definitely proud to be a soundcarder! Wish that I could turn back in time to experiences all these once again...
Had a one-night staycation with 38club girls. Love the awesome photos we took! 11 years of friendship... So precious. Love love!! Muacks!
Presenting our presents!
Also had an great service... Reminded that Jesus is our light. A light that will lead us through everything, a light that gives us hope, a light that has blessed us greatly. I thank God for a wonderful family :)
The music team!! Really, a bunch of talented people! :)
So, on this very christmas day, I am expected to work. Boohoohoh. But it's alright :) I'm pretty much looking forward to my weekend and upcoming BKK trip!! Wheeee!!
Shall blog about my wonderful Christmas eve soon! Stay tuned :D

Updates, updates...
The next morning, I was supposed to be on afternoon shift. Mommy(I love her!) brought me to the dentist. At the clinic the assistant asked me what happened and I told her the story. She did a quick examination and realised that it was pretty swollen. After discussing with the dentist, she slot me in to see him after 2 patients. I was desperate and need to resolve it ASAP because of my upcoming cruise show O_o Dentist saw me, took an X-ray and told me he was going to remove my wisdom tooth. Well, I guess he assumed I knew everything so nothing much was explained to me. He also never say if the pain was due to the wisdom tooth or not, is the pain commonly experienced by others etc etc etc. Well, I trusted him anyway. Hahahah.
My expensive tooth freshly out from my mouth...
Me suffering from pain, as you can tell. After the extraction, I guess I felt better. It was a different(better) pain as compared to before the removal. So, THANK GOD AND I HOPE I WILL BE HEALED AND RECOVER ASAP.
I guess I did hahaha. Ate Wanton mee and chicken rice the next day :P Well, when you are hungry, you can do anything and everything!!
With that, I was able to support JDC :) Shhhh! I was supposed to rest at home! :X Love this photo btw :)
So last week we had an awesome church retreat. Arghhhh... Everytime I want to blog about things, I just feel so lazy when I get to blogger.. So let the photos help me to remember the good times we had :)
Today, one of my dear patient's body will be cremated... It was a rather eventful week for me because of her. Last Friday while I was doing night shift, she was admitted back but went to another ward. So, I went over to visit her... She felt better, was able to talk and even walk a bit. Before I left to get back to work, she asked me when I would be working again. I told her the day after the next day. I kinda lied because I didn't want to tell her I was going overseas and will only be back 4 days later.
Who knew, after church retreat, her condition deteriorated and she was not responsive. Her family decided to bring her home. Someone told me that her husband was actually looking for me over that weekend :( When back in Singapore on Monday, I decided to go straight to her house to visit her, before it was too late. At least I got to see her for one last time. If I didn't, I think I would have regretted it.
The day after, she passed on... Went for her wake too... I am glad that her suffering is gone. Her family is more than willing to support her children and husband. Which is good. Yup, she is definitely someone that I will remember :) I hope she's able to see me from above and watch over me :)
Ok, I am really a bad story teller. I think it's due to the codeine I am on... Very sleepy now....

Kat's Birthday!~
Loving Hard Rock Hotel's room! :)
The birthday girl in her onesie- a gift from us. Hehehe... Ter and I love it so much that we got ourselves one as well :P
The best part of RWS is that it's like a place that never dies and we can just walk around with slippers. Kat had her little tour around with her onesie. Hehehe..
Stayed over for a night and went for afternoon shift. And I am alive!! Thank God! Hahaha... Alright. Can't wait for church retreat in KL, my cruise trip and BKK atas trip!! :P
My manager said that I ain't committed enough at work. Am I not? Sigh :(

Change is good...
Ok. So it has been formally announced that I will be deployed to another ward for a span of 3 long months! Truth be told, I have been thinking and even dreaming about it. When the management had initial ideas to this cross-training program, I thought it would be great if I were to be the one going over.
Since I started work, I have always been working in ward 43. I thought I was too spoilt and sheltered by my manager and seniors. And prolly I have been too over familiar with my colleagues. So, going over would proof myself what I am really made up of.
And now that this got real, I got abit emo about it. It's like stepping out of my comfort zone. How will my new colleagues see me? If I am there to change the ward culture, will they hate me? Will the gang up against me? Who can protect me? God, help me be the best staff that I can be... Help me be a positive influence. Heh, it's like zooming back to the past, constantly asking God to help me in my work when I was a new staff.
I guess the most painful part is to be seperated with the person/people I love :( But I need to overcome it! Hiak hiak Maria you can do it!!!
Today, for the first time working as a staff nurse for 3plus years, a patient asked me to pray for her. I was kinda disappointed at myself because I didn't. Sigh... I know in church pastor has been sharing and challenging us to pray for the sick and all. I always wanted such an opportunity and it finally came. But..... I didn't have the courage to do so. I won't know what to say. All I know is.... I had shared the love of God through my sincere actions. I hope I did.
Haha, I guess one thing I miss also would be my patients. And I guess, hopefully some of them will ask about me and miss me too!
Regardless of anything, I'm always leaving it to God! :)

Retrospective entry: My Europe Holiday
Looking back, I think I did quite well for this holiday! And come to think of it, I managed to survive in the rather dangerous Rome :) Alright, this entry shall be full of photos! Extracting 1 photo from each city(almost) I have been to :)
First stop, Heidelberg. Over looking the Old Town(Altstadt) from the Heidelberg castle!! It was drizzling so we had the hassle of carrying the umbrella everywhere we went and my shoes were mushy. Eeeeewwww :( Nevertheless, it was good going back to this beautiful town. Met Tze Heng, Malcolm's friend who kindly brought us around too! (And had us drinking wheat beer 10am in the morning xD)
Berlin was one of the place I had always wanted to visit since I did not have the chance the past 2 times I went to Germany. And finally, I got to see the amazing historical sights! :) Presenting the Brandenburger tor! Was just a little fearful of those gypsies. My brother had fun mocking at them though. I wonder what has he been doing the past 8 years in Germany.....
Off we went on our own while Malcolm had to work for the week... I had also always wanted to visit this beautiful town named Dresden. Malcolm had been sending me a few postcards of Dresden and I always love the pictures of the place and finally, yay I could see the beautiful baroque buildings with my own eyes :DD That's me posing in front of the oprea house in my newly purchased motobike jacket from C&A in Berlin. Hehehe.
Prague was the next destination. And I shall formally introduce my travel partner, Victoria!! Copying Paris' Eiffel Tower, Prague decided to have her own lookout tower and the view of the whole city from up there was amazing! It was definitely worth the climb!!
After Prague was Munich!! Back to Germany! Visited the B&W museum and Marienplatz before heading to Englisher Garten, where I had THE best experience of my life! It was some outdoor place with a live band playing German folksongs. I just love the German experience. How we had to purchase the food(very marche style, if you know what I mean), the way people queue and buy for beer, the schweinshaxe(aka my pork knuckle) and they way we were seated!(very German festive style!) The weather was fantastic too!! Hehe, I'm such a good girl. I didn't want to have beer :|
Also finally, I got to see Neuschwanstein castle with my very own eyes!!! I must say that getting there was pretty challenging BUT I MADE IT :D (With the help of DB timetable & my DB navigator, Malcolm Boey)
Met Malcolm again for the farmstay part of the holiday! One of my favourite activities during the farmstay- BBQ in the carpark! I just love how resourceful we were(mostly Malcolm) in getting the food and fire!! Blur photo sadly :(
I also got to experience Oktoberfest!! Little did I know that the original original Oktoberfest is in Munich. Technically, no where else in Germany celebrates Oktoberfest. Had fun roaming around in my Dirndl :) Look at my cute German boyfriend behind me xD The train station was CRAZILY CROWDED!!!
On a Sunday, we went up to Wendelstein mountain by an old mountain tram! Malcolm booked a table for us in an All-You-Can-Eat brunch eatery. We could eat, and then explore the mountain top and go back and eat again. Hehehe.. It was too sunny that's why my eyes were like that.
Last night in farmstay. We cooked our own dinner. Love it!

Retrolicious
Did my first D&D show yesterday and had so much fun singing retro songs! :D I guess the favourite part of being in such shows is dressing up!!!
Upcoming cruise show~ A little frantic over the lyrics and maintaining my tone of voice. Hope all will be well and songs will be well received!!
But first, let me pack my messy room xD

Oh-em-gee
Had a lil birthday celebration with my dearest JDC!!! YAY! I'm pretty excited on the upcoming shows we are gonna do! Heeheehe.
The super amazing awesome uncle!! Love him so so so so much!
I also spent one of my off days finishing up our cover! Can you imagine... Our last rehearsal was in April! :/ Now that the audio is done, we will do our video and DONE!! Can't wait for it :DDD
And finally, I managed to get hold of this photo after a year :DDD
Alright. This is just a random blog entry. Quite a lot going on in December!!! Hope that I can still be alive :P In the meantime, I am glad that I am progressing well in my bike lessons. Almost reaching the 3/4 mark! Yay!! I'm definitely closer to getting my dream bike!
2014 has been a great year! Time to reflect upon it real soon!!!

Another hectic weekend
The weekend started with the usual Theresa-Marcus-Maria birthday celebration. It was a good catch up time, especially with Theresa :)
Next day was D&D but before, I visited dear Jamie the bride-to-be in hospital :/
Thank God that everything went well and the wedding was a success! Will share about it shortly... Hehehe...
Moving on to D&D... Let the photos do the talking! The whole ward who attended D&D!
It's amazing how we both had a little something from the lucky draw :) Before the dinner started, we were praying that our numbers would be chosen and true enough... It happened :D Praise the Lord! Hehehe.
Love this photo with Liyana, my colleague now and ex-classmate. So, I will look like this if I were to be tall and slim...
Went home as early as I could to prepare the next BIG day! It was a miracle that the beautiful bride was able to walk down the isle 14 hours after an emergency appendectomy. This picture shows us singing "The Prayer" before the Holy Matrimony. It was a really beautiful moment and I almost wanted to cry T_T
At the reception with Valerie and Elicia!! Yay so pretty all of us! Hehehe...
Presenting the lovely couple :D
After the wedding, had my part 2 with the 38 girls :) It was fun recalling the good old days but sad that I had to leave early.
Went to my part 3 which was Lynn's house party!!! It's funny how Elson and I entered the house when everyone else were leaving for home.
